Obersturmfuehrer LVHCM1 is now conducting a referendum (he always ruled so democratically) whether or not I should be "allowed" to return to my former gambling forum.

Since I don't get to vote over there, I'll vote here. I vote NO. Seems like most of the posters I used to cajole anyway over there have moved on. The postings there move very slowly these days.

Now I understand that some at my former website consider themselves among (in the current political jargon) the gambling "elite." They tell us everyday.

But I'll just remain among the people. EOG offers a much wider content, from sports picks to poker to politics to current events.

The owner is much more "hands on," and the moderators have a sense of humor.

In the meantime, how about an update on Nick B. Did you keep getting his picks? Did he make good on those extra "free" picks that were supposed to be included in your package?

Bob,

They have no desire for me to return there. LVHCM1 just needed the issue to have something to sticky at the top of his forum to draw some hits and heat.

The NickB thang died shortly after a disastrous March Madness. The package was supposed to include some Arena Football, and the first month of baseball season, but they whacked my subscription early.

As I remember, the basketball ended up around 19-28 or 20-29 (I guess it's buried somewhere in the old posts, but I don't know how to find it fast.

LVA is a cesspool of intellectual snobs that are much brighter than us..

Yeah Ken, I think your analysis of LVA is usually pretty accurate but I question how smart they really are over there. Overrated is a term that comes to mind and might be a gross understatement here. Thanks.

First Fezzik decided he couldn't handle it any more. He was never cut out to be a moderator anyway. So then Anthony shuts it down and lo and behold, discovers there was a real base of posters there who wanted it and made it good. So he instantly restarts it but chooses LVAHCM1 as mod - the worst possible choice. A guy who lives to namecall and act like a pompous ass. You might as well have made PerpCzech mod, lol. He manages to get the namesake Fezzik to leave (hence the name change from Fezziksplace), does nothing to keep Bostonred involved, kicks off Jones who drew more postings and content to the site than anyone. Who knows what else because I left and didn't keep up.

It's a lost cause, a shadow of it's former self -- which is too bad because it was better than the other forums in so many ways. Why at this point in time would LVAHCM1 even bother? The titanic sank and now he wants to patch the hole?
