It should be stated that anytime the President flies, he flies in AF1 along with 2 - 3 C-141 cargo aircraft that carries all of the vehicles, Comm gear, and security personnel the President needs at all times. In fairness, this was true under Clinton, Bush 41, Reagan, Carter, Ford, Nixon, LBJ, JFK... etc. Makes no difference the party affiliation of the chief executive, the waste is still the same. |

Anti, you would be shocked if you knew ALL of the people that have walked off of AF1. Just a little side note... When Al Gore was VP, he NEVER, and I mean NEVER flew anywhere on anything less than a 747. It didn't matter the distance flown or length of the trip, it had to be a 747. This earned him the nickname Seven-Gore with the Air Force personnel who had to work on his flights. |
