Weep: The keffiyeh kerfuffleI remember a time when left-wingers were continually stereotyped as humorless paranoids who looked for symbols of racism, sexism and homophobia in just about every area of popular culture — novels, television shows, advertising, and so on. While there was obviously some truth to this caricature, it was generally limited to college professors who pushed critical theory as the primary tool for analyzing texts. The entire right-wing blogosphere, on the other hand, fits this stereotype better than any egghead college perfesser ever could.
