I believe the book has been closed on this one - the findings were that the killing was accidental and yes they tried to cover it up and no it shouldnt have happened and shouldnt happen again. Does that satisfy you?

Andromeda, the galaxy closest to our own milky way galaxy is spinning on a collision course with our galaxy which will bring an instantaneous, searing, end to mankind down the road a bit. (This will occur several million years from now according to astronomers best projections.) It's not science fiction it's fact.
