Osama Is Rooting for McCain Posted by Anthony Gregory at 06:36 PM Although Hillary or Obama would do, too. Scott Horton has a great new interview with Michael Scheuer on how US foreign policy is al Qaeda's biggest ally. Only Ron Paul would have worried bin Laden, says Scheuer, former head of the CIA bin Laden Unit. Aside from an occasional support for total war, and his views on extraordinary renditioning and economics, Scheuer is one impressive ex-CIA agent. ============ ========= ========= ========= ========= ========= ======= Scott Horton Interviews Michael Scheuer April 17th, 2008 Michael Scheuer, former chief of the CIA’s bin Laden unit and author of Marching Toward Hell: America and Islam After Iraq, discusses his view that the U.S. betrayal of loyal dictator Musharraf is terrible for Pakistan and U.S. interests in the region, the rising hatred of U.S. foreign policy in the Muslim World, the detrimental effect of the U.S. government’s Israel-centric foreign policy, Ron Paul’s effort to explain to the American people why al Qaeda attacked us on 9/11, why a Ron Paul-style foreign policy would be the worst thing for them, energy independence, future war for oil in Nigeria, Cheney’s argument that al Qaeda in Iraq could ever take over that land, the failure of the media to challenge politicians on this point, his view that Obama, McCain and Clinton – due to their Israel-first stances – will stay in Iraq for at least the next four years, the danger to Israel posed by the neocons’ stupid policies, the extraordinary rendition program and his role in creating it, the necessity of figuring out a way to apply the rule of law to those detained in the terror war, torture, al Libbi’s tortured accusations of ties between Saddam and Osama, his CIA team’s proving that there were no such ties before the war, the strategy behind the September 11th attacks, the fact that Osama has explained exactly what that strategy is for 10 years, and a brief sketch of his new book. MP3 here. (40:42) Michael Scheuer is a 22-year veteran of the CIA and the author of Through Our Enemies Eyes: Osama bin Laden, Radical Islam, and the Future of America, Marching Toward Hell: America and Islam After Iraqand Imperial Hubris: Why the West Is Losing the War on Terror.

It's the oil not Israel which defines U.S. foreign policy. Given how few Jews are left in the world and the fact the Israeli's are outnumbered 100-1 by the Arabs, we sure aren't getting much bang for our buck. By your thinking we should abandon Israel and let the Arab hoards overrun the tiny country. And you and Ron Paul and the other Jew haters can go fuck yourselves. It's the oil, not Israel which engenders U.S. colonialism in that region but those that want the Arabs to finish the job Hitler started will play their anti-Israel mind games. Hose off!

Road Dawg and his nuanced anti-Jew fervor ignore the truth about the mideast. They ignore that Judea was the Jewish homeland thousands of years before Islam was even founded. They ignore the fact Muhammed never even stepped foot in Jerusalem. It's Mecca the Muslims turn to pray towards, not Israel. They ignore the fact that the remnants of European Jews after Hitler had nowhere to go after the most horrific experience of a civilized people in the world's history. You don't need to be wearing a swastika armband for your real hateful agenda to be seen. A real gracious bunch these.

I agree RD, let them pay there own way, its not like Israel is a 3rd world nation or cash poor, they got wealth and assets, they shouldn't need my tax dollars, they have had 70+ years of aid, its high time they made it on their own.

| "Their neighbors" are suicidal maniacs willing to sacrifice several million of their own (a mere pittance in the Arab world) in an exchange of nukes to wipe out Israel. You may get your genocidal wish one day, but not through Jewish capitulation with the most perverted example of humanity on the face of the earth. And you Road Dawg, you Mr. Cut and Paste, know damn well it's the oil not israel which explains U.S. colonialism. Fuckers like you are enthusiastic accomplices in the effort to finish Hitler's work, and your phony efforts at spining the subject into a survival issues for Arabs is as transparent as your own hangups. For some reason, yet to be explained by capperjed. It should be added that like many that support Zionism, crapper resorts to ad-hoeminem whenever challenged, he has no rebuttal that will hold water, so he resorts to name calling. You can be sure that if there was a valid rebuttal we would all know about it. | |
