If this is what the GOP is going to have in 2012 it looks like the Libertarian party will get a few more votes along with mine.

Your Title says she is resigning there boy. Not running for re-election and resigning are two very different things.

I know you have a hard time understanding that. It's OK - I see it all the time in Democrats. Hang in there - there may be hope for you.

Wow. . .Now we need a pool to play "guess what kind of meds nicci is on." I don't think alcohol alone will result in such outlandish behavior; or maybe he thinks he's posting in another thread. . .

It's either something objective and concrete about who the kid's mom is, or some sort of financial skulduggery with Alaskan cash box on her watch. . .

I've wondered more than once if the "nic darvos" id was simply a ghost of "joeC", but then realized the latter is way too egotistical to try and prop up a character who is so inept at the cyber level.

Plus, "joe" has been busted before at the Rx for running a Ghost.

Or maybe by resigning she'll be free to fundraise and politic as much as she wants for 2012?
I personally would not prefer her as a repub nominee but I can see how being stuck up in alaska for long periods would be a disadvantage.

All kidding aside, it's most likely she takes off the last half of this year for family and personal time and then early next year she announces a run for the US Senate seat currently held by Republican Lisa Murkowski (up for reelection in Nov 2010).

Ms Murkowski only won in 2004 by 48% to 45% and Sarah Palin already defeated Lisa's father Frank Murowski in the 2006 Republican primary for Governor. This after Frank had lost his political capital in various scandals during his four year term as governor 2002-2006.

There's just no way in hell that Sarah Palin can be considered a credible contender for President of the United States. But she's likely very viable to contend for that US Senate seat and if she was successful, she'd be far more influential within Washington DC for her state. Taking it one step further, if she pulled off the Senate in 2010 and was reelected in 2016, she would likely have some very legitimate Wash DC influence for the 2020 Presidential campaign, at which time she would be 56 years old. Additionally, the tard kid would be a teenager and the Palin family would have established whatever level of adequate medical and home care that is needed for him and thus he would not be an undue distraction for a 2020 presidential bid.

The above scenario takes on increased interest if all goes well and Barack Obama serves two terms and is then followed by Hillary Clinton in 2016.

Kind a like Carter serving 2 terms and then Mondale in '84. How did that work out? The piece of shit will either get defeated after one term or the Dems will get demolished in 2016.

Hey, we were foolish kids back then.

I actually voted for Reagan twice, thinking he would keep his campaign promises to balance the federal budget. Boy did I get raped.

But somehow I, and the rest of America survived the eight years of Reagan.

I've since retained a steady optimism about my country and my fellow Americans that regardless of who is sitting in the White House, life in the USA will continue to be one of the best deals going on planet Earth.

If true, she'll be cooked like a goose.

i always thought she'd make a fortune with her own tv show, radio show,
and trips on the speaking circuit. she has a very strong following and would have super high cable ratings. i could see her popularity rising above o reilly and hannity and being close to rush's.

I'd contribute two bits to see those boobs; once her 15 minutes are up, she'll drive a hard bargain with Hef for the layout. . .

You mean a man driven to hyperbole, but who is nonetheless very prescient?
