Default Soft Dog -- Post your Military ID

..... in here and I will see to it that all your feelings about your CIC, your country, your own insecurities and weaknesses get to the proper authorities within the Air Force so you can start your retirement early.

We will do it so that your discharge is in no way dishonorable. I will selectively pick the posts you have made here in this forum to work in your favor, but make you look to be mentally unstable enough to get you that discharge.

Get your anti-war protest signs ready baby -- You are coming home soon and there is a job waiting for you at Moveon.org.

How about actually addressing the content of his posts rather than play a silly game? Oh, I already know the answer. . . . .

I'm on a mission to get this boy out of the military -- He obviously doesn't belong in the service and I am quite sure the military has no use for him anymore.

If you think about it, it really makes sense and is to everyones benefit.

Wouldn't you agree ?

One of the unique strengths of the American military is that we allow our soldiers, sailor, marines and airmen to think. They must follow orders, as this is still the military. However, they are instilled with the power to apply their innate common sense and intelligence to the task at hand as appropriate; a situation that does not adhere in most of the world's militaries.
With that being said, I think that Dawg's post show the type of thought processes that demonstrate to me that he is a fine representative of the American military, Air Force, and America.
We have enough unthinking sheep around here. . . . .

What does the Military think about Airmen using Federal property on Federal time to post on internet gambling websites?

The site is not blocked, therefore I have permission to post on it. Furthermore, this type of site is not listed in the user agreement.

Add that to the fact that I am on leave today and tomorrow.

Here to stay and irritate.

Sounds like Joe McCarthy is back and well in this thread. Seems like people have to prove they are loyal to Bush and his rhetoric now as well. Seig heil!

Appreciate the sentiments, Roscoe. I don't post on here looking for agreement, but a little stimulating debate. I can look at people like Nic/ Merlin and Hoffa and see what I used to be like, and, seriously, it makes me sick to my stomach. To be be so blinded by one's fear and zealotry is a very dangerous thing.

One of my favorite quotes:

It is the responsibility of the patriot to protect his country
from its government.
-- Thomas Paine

Don't be surprised there soft dog. Most people who are weak and know they are weak by not supporting their own country have nausea in their stomach. That is why you feel so sick. You are the gutless wonder boy who can't handle the truth. Then guys come in here like your mommy to try and make you feel better, but deep down you know it does no good because you have sold your own country out.

You want me to bring you some milk and cookies tonight ? Maybe that will clear up your sick stomach.

By the way -- you better be prepared to defend your boy Ron Paul because from the 20 minutes of research I have done on the net this guy is a nut case. However, until he gains some traction in the polls there is no need to beat on him as he is at about 2% in the polls right now.

Look at yourself in the mirror, Nic/merlin. Try to convince yourself that you are not a scoundrel or a Hermann Goering starter kit. . . . .

Samuel Johnson: Patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel.

Hermann Goering: Naturally the common people don't want war; neither in Russia, nor in England, nor in America, nor in Germany. That is understood. But after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

as an outsider this thread is pretty fucked up

but to start with, while we're dishing out phrases, this one comes to mind

"divide and conquer "

now i've known the roaddawg for a while and yep he is what he says, a career soldier who is probably and rightfully a bit tired of having his loyalty called into question, and his ultimate sacrifice brought nearer due to an unjust war.
just because the guy can think for himself that doesn't make him a traitor.

now as a brit with a brother that was in the armed forces, i welcome a bit of nouse ( brit for intelligence ) it may help cut down on the gung ho friendly fire episodes.
and even better for you lot, learn from our empire's mistakes when it comes to occupation of a foreign land whatever the reason.

you should support the Dawg's venting on here and encourage his thoughtfulness or reap the benefits of another generation of PTSD

he's the man on the ground and deserves your support

Differences aside, I do appreciate that KT. Maybe, when I get back to Montgomery, I'll drive up and we can have a beer.

I'm not going to do something so stupid as post my ID, but I can provide any other proof that is requested.

I think there has been a serious mistake in thinking that I am REPRESENTING the military in any way. Nothing could be further from the truth. I simply threw that info out there as a way to add perspective to my point of view. I realize that my views run contrary to a LOT of my bretheren, and trust me, I take heat for that as well. Despite that, I understand my charge and I take my oath very seriously.
