| I look for him to grab someone like Bill Richardson who has impressive credentials ... It wont really matter as McBush's love fest with the media is starting to crumble and Obama is not gonna fold like Kerry did in 2004 as Obama fired yesterday that the Keating 5 Scandal that McBush was involved with in the 80s is fair game ... Cant wait for McBush to explain why he crawled into bed with nutjob Hagee who makes Rev Wright look tame Anyone that thinks McBush has a good shot at winning is on serious drugs to say the least: * YouTube - John McCain vs. John McCain * YouTube - John McCain & Miss Teen SC on Economics http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/21/short-on-econo... At a recent meeting with the Wall Street Journal editorial board, Republican presidential candidate John McCain admitted he "doesn't really understand economics" and then pointed to his adviser and former Senate colleague, Phil Gramm - whom he had brought with him to the meeting - as the expert he turns to on the subject, The Huffington Post has learned. Phil Gramm? Hmmmm....let's take a look at Phil Gramm for a moment, shall we? http://www.motherjones.com/commentary/power_plays/2002/... Gramm both looks like a snapping turtle and has the personality of one. When he ran for president in 1996 and finished fifth in Iowa, all the profiles written of him included the line "Even his friends don't like him." Self-righteous and strident, Gramm demonized his opponents and used bitter, polarizing rhetoric. During a Senate debate over Social Security, a member pointed out that the proposal under consideration would hurt 80-year-old retirees. "Most people don't have the luxury of living to be 80 years old," Gramm scoffed, "so it's hard for me to feel sorry for them." Well, there is that. |

| Names throw around: Hagel .... Lot of push to basically tell the GOP to enjoy Libermann as Hagel just converted over to the Winning side ... I know he has had it with the GOP and he’s impeccably qualified for national office, has a commanding presence and grasp of military and national security issues and would vividly illustrate Obama’s declarations that his candidacy represents an effort to unite blue states and red states Gen. Wesley Clark has been a longtime favorite of mine who addresses a lot of Obama's weaknesses. As former head of NATO, Clark would give him a military, security, and foreign policy advisor (sorely needed) and a military, security, and foreign policy attack dog against McCain (if needed). Clark is very progressive, he is very smart, and his resume is clean. Clark has big time credibility in Europe and, with bridge-maker Obama, would instantly repair America's tattered international reputation. Former Marine Jim Webb would be a great choice for many of the same reasons. While Clark is a intellectual crowd guy, Webb is a hardnosed everyman. He is anti-iraq with a military background and is a straight and forceful talker. Webb just looks like he could break you in half. His speaking and debate skills are very plain, but top notch. Mainstream America gets him. He would be an excellent attack dog on the stumbling McCain. Frankly, if we lose, I could see Webb as the rising star for the Dems in 2012. He is a beast and Virginia has 13 electoral votes and went red last time. He could deliver virginia and maybe help deliver a few southern states. |
