The thread you started about about a sinking of a U.S. Aircraft Carrier hit just to close to home. Ironically, I've been watching a 10 part PBS series called "Carrier" this week on my local PBS station.

The series emphasizes stories about the people that serve rather than on just the capabilities of the equipment that you would normally see on a History Channel type documentary on military hardware.

The normal age of a crew member on a carrier is somewhere in the early 20s. And 5000+ people serve on a carrier. To imagine and even contemplate the sinking of a carrier and the tremendous loss of young life is really very over over the top in my opinion.

I'd like to think that although our opinions differ, any American patriot would find that thread very distasteful. I'd really like to see you distance yourself from that thread.

You and I have been joking around somewhat regarding politics and that's all in good fun, but the Carrier thread was in very bad taste.

I won't be communicating with you further unless you can apologize for that one...
