His last good year was 2014 with the Nats, followed by a decent 2015 and with the Tigers started 2016 with a 5-0 record .55 era in April but then started to fade going on the 15 day DL in early July. I'm pretty sure his better days are behind him but still a decent pitcher.

Before last season Zimmerman had one of the highest quality start rates in the history of the game. Unfortunately the injuries seem to have done him in for now

Sometimes baseball gives you a gift that keeps on giving. Hale, Simon just to name a few.

I was going to bet Tampa yesterday, then I saw the price. And by gametime, Tampa with Archer was minus 186? There must've been very heavy anti-Zimmerman money, because Tampa shouldn't ever be minus 186.

So much anti-Zimm money lately you'd think he had some undisclosed arm issue.

The advanced metrics maybe don't like Miggy Gonzalez, but bettors have to. He doesn't throw real hard and isn't flashy. But since the White Sox got him from Baltimore, he has made 27 starts. The White Sox have won 15 of those starts, producing a profit of nearly 9 1/2 units.

Looks like the fade of Zimmerman will continue for another start.

Gonzalez has been a nice find so far.
Michael Jordan isn't anywhere near as athletic as lebron James. Jordan wouldn't even be a top 20 athlete in the game right now in his prime. - Cleveland Homer Big Deemer

That has a lot to do with Miggy and JD Martinez who crush him, but neither are playing right now. They're hitting like .450 off him combined in 25 at bats.

Wont matter...3 starts is enuff to effect him psychologically so that it doesnt matter who is batting. Castellanos will look like Miggy and Jupton will look like JD to him lol

    He gone

How about these wins for Gonzalez?

    4/18/17 +170
    4/13/17 +183
    9/12/16 +174
    7/25/16 +197
    7/06/16 +165
    6/20/16 +191
    6/01/16 +151

Castellanos and Upton will never resemble those other two who can really rake.

Pretty big game for the Sox. It would be quite an accomplishment to sweep the tigers in Detroit.

White Sox suck. A real team would have least scored 3-4.

Remember last year? Zimmerman was 5-0 with a 0.55 ERA in April. Since May 1 of last year:

    100 innings pitched
    74 earned runs
    6.66 ERA

    Tough times.
