Cubs looking for revenge in Pittsburgh - The Chicago Cubs are looking for some sweet revenge against the Pittsburgh Pirates after the Pirates swept the Cubs at Wrigley in their first meeting of the season.* The Cubs revenge could be a reality considering the offensive tear they have been on.*The Cubs have scored 39 runs over their last 5 games and have won four of those games.* Jason Heyward’s bat has been clubbing his opponents adding additional potency to an already explosive offense.* Although hitting well by human standards, Bryant, Schwarber and Zobrist are still trying to get going and find their super human grooves with their bats.* Once found, the Cubs could be unstoppable.

As strong as the Pirates are taking 2 of 3 against the Yankees last week, the news of Sterling Marte being suspended for 80 games for violating the MLB PED policy will definitely affect the Bucs. Andrew McCutchen will need to remain a huge threat at the plate while playing exceptional baseball defensively in center field where he replaces Sterling Marte.* Without Sterling Marte in the line up, Pittsburgh's pitchers will have less run support and their pitching may not be able to handle that.

The pitching matchups for the 3 game set puts Brett Anderson on the mound (1-0) against Pirates starter Chad Kuhl (1-1).* In game 2 the Cubs will throw Kyle Hendricks (1-1) against Bucs stud Gerrit Cole (1-2). Game 3 has Cubs phenom John Lester (0-0) against Pirates prospect Tyler Glasnow (0-1).

With the Pirates still recovering from the news of Sterling Marte and the Cubs pulling it together offensively, I expect a focused Chicago Cubs team to sweep the Pirates and get their sweet revenge.
