what a terrible blow for the Braves & moreso him.

Looked purely accidental to me,dont think the Braves players saw it that way tho.

Sux for them...he was the only reason to come to the new ballpark. Wrist is tricky too...may sap some of his power when he eventually returns

Yep. Alex Gordon has injured his wrist a couple times and he might be the worst hitting OF in MLB right now. Completely useless at the plate. And that was a pricy signing.

Cliff Floyd took a long time to return to form after a broken wrist in 1995.

If I remember correctly Floyd broke his arm playing first base, there was a throw from an infielder that led him into the runner, and the ball and the runner arrived at the same time and Floyd broke his arm as a result
It's not the kill, it's the thrill of the chase

    Todd Hundley was the baserunner.

I remember the injury as a broken wrist, not a broken arm.

Blows. Guy has been the 2nd best hitter in baseball over the past calendar year behind only Mike Trout. Terrible break. Hope he can come back healthy and in rhythm. Wrist and hand injuries can be terrible for a hitter.
    tripp blows

ump didn't give him first base until the braves appealed, sounded like it hit his bat.
