So if he hits .300 with an on base avg of .420 with 50 hr and 100+ RBI that will be s bad season because he had too many k's? I don't think so. Yanks would take this cumulative season in a heartbeat

MLB Network put up a comparison between Judge and Gary Sanchez. Almost the exact same number of plate appearances. Sanchez topped in most categories, and even has one more HR than Judge.

Pitchers made adjustments to Judge and found his hole spots. Judge will work on making the necessary adjustments as well. I think it's way too early to write him off. I'm not sure there's ever been a stronger player ever.

Write him off? Cmon he'll end up with high 40's in HRs, batting .270+...as a first year player.

I think he will. He was awful when he came up last year and he made adjustments and kicked the league's ass. Recently the league has made its adjustments to him and he will have to go back to the drawing board in the offseason but he's done it before. Great swing. With that much power, he doesn't have too swing from his heels, and he hits the ball hard to the opposite field.

I expect he will prove to be a quite serviceable slugger for at least 5 years, might fade after age 30.

Not a guy I would give a huge 10 year contract to, but should be fine before free agency.

The HR contest may have fucked him up, but he made a 100k + bonus by winning it, pretty chunk of change when you make minimum baseball wage.

He is also an excellent RF with a great arm, and a solid all around player. The K's are disturbing, though.

I think he is quite capable of averaging 30+ HR, driving in 80+ runs, batting .260 or better and being an overall good player and teammate.

I think he will have to cut the stroke down to be a hitter. Since he came in he strikes out way too much 33% rally killer . These guys turn into adam dunn which is fine. forget the hall of fame unless he learns .

Judge has had a miserable second half but has shown some signs of a resurgence. An OPS of over 1.000 this month. 7 HRs in 16 games. IF, and that is still a question, but IF he can remotely come close to his first half the rest of the way, the Yanks may be worth a flier at 12/1 or so. Bullpen is so important in the postseason, and nobody has a deeper pen than the Yankees.

The rest of the way is 12 games, plus the W/C game and maybe a few more games after that.

The man will lead the league in HR'S, and several other stats plus he plays good defense and runs the bases well.

You can't really fault him for a bad 1-2 months given the season he has had

So it was Judge in April and May, Bellinger in June and July, Hoskins in August and now Matt Olson in September. Not many people get to see much of Olson, but that is a real short swing. Another HR tonight.

He is now up to 48 HR' s and 105 RIB !
2 MORE and he sets a new rookie HR record, that would beat the 49 from Mcguire.

Amazing to see Hoskins, Olson, and Judge all on a tear at the same time.

Good time to try to extend his contract a few years for cheap in the off-season !

He might jump at guaranteeing 10 -15 million, since he hasn't got that "all the money you need for life contract ", yet

Worth the gamble to try to lock him in until age 30 or so.

Judge went 1-20 in the series with 16 K's, that's more strikeouts than Tony Gwynn had in an entire season
