Default GGG vs Canelo (BREAKING NEWS: Fight declared a split-decision draw)

Canelo seems to me like a B-level athlete, thought McGregor looked better vs Floyd than Canelo did.

Here is a take by Ted Atlas. 3G is the stronger puncher. Canelo would have to use tactics to overcome.

With some of the recent big fights ending with controversial awful decisions, can it happen again? Will the judges or promoter have a preference?

Wait for all the Mexicans to come into town and they start betting Canelo. So no need to bet it now. IT will be -130 day before the fight.

I just made a bet at -150. You just made good point. I should have waited. I will be wagering more. Good Luck all!

As a frequent poker player at the MGM, I witness fight nights at the MGM in Las Vegas. Every time their is a Mexican boxer Mexicans come into town either Friday, Saturday and with two fists bet the Mexican fighter. Imagine this happening at all Casinos.. Thousands of small bets add up and then you can get value on the other non-mexican fighter. Case in point Pacquiao the Mexi-cutioner. I have bet on Pacman when fighting a Mexican fighter and time after time. He has crushed the Mexican fighter only a couple of times Pacman did not win.

So it will happen again with Canelo Mexicans betting with their heart not their brain.

So wait my friends .....Take GGG -125 or -130 day before the fight or day of the fight.

His promoter De La Hoya was also a B-level athlete whose big fights were against Pernel Witaker and an old JC Chavez. He knows how to navigate the B-level career

The unfortunate downside to betting boxing.
Michael Jordan isn't anywhere near as athletic as lebron James. Jordan wouldn't even be a top 20 athlete in the game right now in his prime. - Cleveland Homer Big Deemer

Oscar De La Hoya fixed a fight at Staples Center a few years back where he had a judge change his scorecard post fight in the dressing room and the fight was awarded to his fighter.

People would sell the farm for GGG/Mayweather if "Triple G" wins.

How does this guy do over time? I'm of the opinion that a good Boxing bettor can do very well for himself. Better than the standard all-sports bettor, b/c of understanding for the Sweet Science.

Careers made/broken in fight like this. Should be fun.

Does anyone have an angle here on why they see an edge?
    * Last GGG fight a Sell-sign?
    * Can Canelo adjust to this weight? Khan didn't fare well when moving up to fight Canelo.

Maybe just an age difference....but the line seems right.....
But the Mexicans will come to Vegas betting with both hands...

He's clearly a winner with his boxing opinions.

I'll let him tell the rest of the story.

Why is he avoiding GGG... ?

Lay it here -140 a minute after the weigh in.

Any need to worry about Triple G's age (35) against Alvarez (27)?

Even though Canelo is improved I don't think he stands a shot here. Cotto actually did well early on against Canelo if I'm not mistaken and the hits eventually took their toll but they won't against ggg. GGG is a different animal.

From a boxing standpoint, GGG is going to light Canelo up.

I agree with Al Bernstein. The lack of coverage by the mainstream sports media for this fight is appalling & shameful.
