Default The death sequence for a college hoop team's defense

Severely downgrade a team's defense if you see the following sequence: An opposing player taking a wide-open three-pointer followed by an offensive rebound which leads to a layup, dunk or worst of all, another wide-open three-ball.

Teams are allowed to give up an occasional three-point shot but well-coached teams either challenge shots from beyond the arc or eliminate points in the paint.

Good defenses take away something, if not everything.

Here's another college hoop handicapping tip: Look to bet teams that play fast with few turnovers or bet against teams that play slow yet are saddled with a high turnover rate.
