Good thread to discuss what you think teams will do.

The Bears are in luck this year as there are a lot of names popping out on the Free agent market for WR potentially.

    Possible names:

    Jarvis Landry

    Allen Robinson

    Sammy Watkins

I'm hoping for Allen Robinson personally.

Assuming Ridley is there, that's who I think they should take, give Trubisky a weapon. Landry is a solid slot receiver, but not a difference maker imo, and he wants big time money

Bears are in a very good position financially at the moment... I like Ridley but not for a top 10 pick... if someone will trade with the Bears and they can get Ridley mid to late first round I'm fine with that.

Seems like they should spend the money and fill the position in FA though and save the pick for a pass rusher

I guess you could see them get Ridley and then also get Robinson. That would transform their offense pretty fast, might be the goal with Nagy coming in.

The important FA period is the second phase after July 1. Most teams have money to spend early and end up overspending. Teams cut some players if they have to give out bonuses for making training camp. It’s a great way to fill out a roster for cheap.
Michael Jordan isn't anywhere near as athletic as lebron James. Jordan wouldn't even be a top 20 athlete in the game right now in his prime. - Cleveland Homer Big Deemer

One thing the Bears and Ryan Pace have going for them is an unsophisticated fan base that thinks it takes years to build a winner.

Are you as high on Nagy as you were Brad Underwood?

Illinois has no shooters and no big men.

Reallllllllly tough to win without those things.

If you’re looking to call Underwood a failure with Groce’s garbage though, you’re being premature.

Saw a depth adjusted rating that put Trubisky at 5th most accurate passer in NFL last year

not sure on the metric itself but Trubisky was throwing to the worst WR corps by far in the NFL

5th WR over in San Diego came over to Chicago and he immediately became the #1 stand out

Im fairly close with Nagy's cousin. He told me Nagy would be a complete bust. Safe to say another bad hire for Bears.

I don't think Ariz is in the Cousins hunt. They don't have the cap space. They'll go after the next tier. Wouldn't be surprised if they get McCarron, Foles, Bradford, etc.

Shocked the Saints have not extended him yet. I am not buying the Browns rumors. Even if they make him an incredible offer? I cannot see Brees at this point in his career, leaving a team that was one busted play away from the Nfc Championship game, to join the very worst team

Is Foles gone from Philly ?

I would think they need to know Wentz will be ready for week 1. Not sure when/if they can get reasonable assurance of that.

Yeah could hold onto him into training camp make sure Wentz is good to go bound to be an injury or two and somebody willing to overpay for him. Unfortunately that wouldn't be the best scenario for him to succeed.

You can scratch Landry's name from the list, the Fins tagged him today

Good news as long as Robinson doesn't get tagged.
