Williams, Johnson and Howard...
Call me crazy but I like the trio of Nash, Kobe, and Gasol much more.

They will be one of the best 6 teams in the league, yes. I don't think they are as good as Miami, OKC or LAL, but still will be a damn strong team with those players. D-Will and Howard will be a phenomenal duo
I'm starting to worry about the competitive balance of the NBA.
These so-called super teams are a disturbing trend.
Howard is a loser, it will be hard for any team to win with him.
Back-to-the-basket centers are liabilities in today's NBA.
Miami did a great job in the NBA Finals making Kendrick Perkins irrelevant.
I've never liked Howard's offensive game.
He's the same player offensively he was five years ago.
Force over finesse.
Plus, he can't close games because of his poor free-throw shooting.
Will be interesting to see who they have alongside Howard, JJ, and D-Will...
If they have to deplete their team ala Knicks to get him..they'll still suck.
I feel like they need to get Hedo in the package and have an option or 2 off the bench to compete...
I Heart The Purple....
Good point, cho.
That'll be one of the keys to the success of the so-called super teams: how the superstars utilize role players.
I thought LeBron did a great job involving Chalmers, Miller and Battier in the NBA Finals while Durant somehow forgot about setting up his teammates in the NBA Finals.
I think one of the problems with the super teams is that they are able to get players (Ray Allen, for one) to sign for less than fair market value in hopes of winning a championship. This helps these teams circumvent the salary cap, while others are stuck to play within one. It's inevitable that there will be a few teams that are loaded with players while the rest are spinning their wheels.
u have good players but u need good players on the bench also!
u need to have good depth and you need players to step up if all ur stars sit on the bench
that what makes a team a better team not just because of the all stars
because those guys will have days off on thier game a lot of times so u need some1
from the bench step up and be that all star player in the game who does NJ have ?
Dwight Howard is overrated. I think it stems from the fact the league is so watered down at the center position. JK made good points about him. One would have expected him to evolve offensively and he really hasn't progressed like he should have. He also has back problems which is not good at his age.
Veterns signing cheap for contending franchises is nothing new and is prevelant in every sports league. It's the nature of the beast. Guys know their careers are winding down and the ones that personally value another championship or two over 5-6 more million dollars in the bank will take the pay cut to play somewhere that gives them the best shot to win.
Doesn't seem like the players can win either way in the eyes of many. Either they are greedy for simply taking the highest offered contract and don't care about winning, or they are creating an unfair league by turning down more money and going to somewhere that offers them the best shot of winning.
why the hell would u pay so much money to some1 that is getting old and is not the same
player as before ? if i were a good player and my yearly salary is huge i would go to a team that
i like and take whatever money they want to give me and play for some1 that i would enjoy
