Question on eligibility...

I deposited $300 to BJ in August and lost it all. Since then I've won money in their Pick 12 contest which is what I've been using to play with for the last 2 months. Since I've never withdrawn from BJ and am down a net $300 would this make me eligible, or do i have to withdraw and then re-deposit to make sure i'm making "real money wagers"

I just checked the last contest BetJm sponsored, the MNF contest for yesterday's game and even though there is a 100 post requirement to enter that contest, they had approximately 71 entries. Apparently there is no 100 post minimum requirement to enter this contest, and we have no way of knowing how many entries there will be because we are not posting our entries, but instead emailing our entries to dirty. BetJm has thousands of active players; theoretically all of them could enter this contest. Surely you understand the difference if this contest has 10 entrants versus having say, 1000? I would enter the former, but pass on the latter.

Yes, obviously the contest is out there for me to enter or not, but the information that I require to make my decision whether it is worth my while is not out there.

I asked the obvious question, ie. how many EOG posters qualify for this contest? I can appreciate that you may not know the answer. I will ask Scotty how many active players BetJm has in Nov 2006.

In the other contests here, sponsored by BetJm, entry was limited to those with 100 posts; this contest is not. And unlike the other contests, where the entries were posted, in this contest the entries are emailed. Perhaps, you dirty, could post a daily update of approximately how many people have entered?

Pioneer, it doesnt take much effort to just email your picks....whether its 10 people or 5000, you arent investing anything but a few minutes of your time..

Would certainly prefer you doing that than bugging Scotty about a free contest that he is offereing to customers.....

Might make them think twice before doing it again, if they just get complaining or hassles from it...

I have talked to Scotty via email and he does not consider my emails to him to be "bugging" him. Nor did he have to expend the enormous amount of time going through all the player accounts as erroneously implied by dirty. He simply gave me a ballpark figure of how many active accounts BetJm has as of Nov 2006, but he did ask me not to divulge that number in the forum and I will not. It's not important anyway; it's obviously a finite number >1.

My point is that all of these active players can enter this contest; in fact anyone can enter this contest simply by making a deposit at BetJm before Friday 12/1/06 and joining EOG. That was NOT the original intent of this contest. This is from dirty's first post announcing this contest...

"We are finalizing the contest today and it will be for Loyal/regular customers only!!!!!!"

...Now we find out that this contest is not ONLY for the loyal and regular customers/posters of BetJm/EOG, but also for anyone else who chooses to enter. EOG and BetJm are entitled to offer any kind of contest they want; but don't say on one day that the contest is ONLY for loyal/regular customers/posters, and the next day open the contest to anyone.
