Guess what? Madcapper owes me money... money that was posted up to him...

Alright, here is the story. It's a little long but this is a long story.

So back in February, there was an ad at theRX for a website called fantasysportsboard.com that was looking for writers so I get in contact with the guy in charge. After posting a ton trying to earn the job, a March Madness contest comes up. $40 entry, we get like 35 guys to postup or so.

Anyway, I win. The guy is having issues paying me for first place as well as the guy for second.

At this point, I feel screwed. This guy can't find a way to pay money that was freakin posted up to him!

I know the first name of the guy who owns the site and the Paypal I sent the post-up to was his wife's, so I have her first and last name. I do a search for the website, trying to figure out who owns this. Anyway, I get a thread at a website forum from Damian Dunlap about what to do with the site. At this point, I begin to think of MC but had no proof. I knew from previous jobs that Damian likes MC and often has him work on his sites. So I do a search for this guy's first name (which is a somewhat rare first name) and the last name of his wife's Paypal. The only thing I can find online is a registry for a newborn baby where the parents can get messages from family members. I remember MC had a post here about his newborn so I check back on EOG and surprise, the babies were born on the exact same day. At this point I knew it was him and emailed him and he admitted to it and said he was having trouble with money but would pay it off.

Anyway, he has paid off all but the last $250 he promised me but it's been a rocky road and I'm tired of waiting.

I've had at least 20 promises of Paypal that never arrived.
I set him up with a friend to do random book-to-book transfers that MC said were sent that never were.
To top it all off, I've received 4 or 5 checks, which only 1 was good to go through and it was only for $75.

Excuses on top of excuses for every reason.

What made me decide to do this now?

MC knew that I could use some money for rent to catch up on bills, which is what I did. He promised me a month ago that he'd send the last $250. He gave me date after date for this last payment (which is about how every payment I've ever gotten from him has worked). So after promised me 100% that the money would be in my Paypal this Monday, he waits until yesterday to tell me that he had sent it to my buddies Greek account instead for no apparent reason. So I check with my buddy... first off, he tells me Greek hasn't done transfers in 1-2 months now and even if they were doing transfers, he doesn't have one.

This thing is typical. This isn't a one-time thing. This has happened over and over and over to the point where I don't feel like being quiet and helping the guy out anymore.

I told him at the very start that I'd be patient as long as he was honest about when and what and how he would make the payments to get me the money. He has lied so many times it isn't funny and I'm sure he'll have some crazy excuse as to why this latest payment didn't work out. I've heard them all and don't care what it is.

I like MC and that is the only reason I gave him a chance to catch up to me without telling everyone how he had spent post-up money on a contest he ran. If he hadn't lied more times than I could count, I'd probably still be waiting patiently at this point.

The time has come to make it known and to put pressure on MC to pay up the last $250 and get this over and done with. He's promised me a ton of money in the past (way more than $250) but I told him if he could get me the money in a week, $250 would be okay. That was a month ago, but I'm still willing to honor it. I owe my buddy at least $50 as a promise for helping me get paid thru his sportsbooks, and when all is said and done, I doubt I'm even getting a full payment on the winnings and I don't care. I just want the $250 and for this BS to be over and done with.

Sorry I had to do this to you MC. I know deep down you aren't a bad guy. If you hadn't have lied so many times, despite me constantly telling you all I wanted was honesty, I wouldn't have done this.

Just get this paid and let's move on.

I've made online bets in the past which I've both won and lost but always paid and almost always been paid. Not everyone out there is quite like this. Only reason I made this bet was because I wanted to be involved with the site to get a nice paying job (which may or may not have existed anyway). No. I remember I saw a post asking about money at the forum the same time I was trying to get money via the PM system (before I knew it was MC). It was deleted within an hour. I couldn't tell you who won 2nd... no clue. Everything got deleted at that place as far as people trying to get their money.

Pretty sad what else can be said and cant blame anyone for sending money in if they had no ideal it was MC behind it. Just hope he is still not in the practice of doing this.

Of course this suprises NO ONE around here. That kid is going to get shot someday after pulling this kind of shit! He REALLY needs to just sell his computer and quit gambling cold turkey! He will lose his wife and probably have to sell his daughter off to pay for his habit! It is an OK habit to have if you win on occassion, but sadcapper just cant win!


I know that everyone remembers just 6 months ago when he FINALLY paid off his debt to bowlmeone. He owed him over $600 for over a year. He couldnt even pay $20 a month on a payment plan. This guy is even bad for our business. Stories like his will make the paper one day when he tries to rob a store to pay off his bookie! This kid needs an INTERVENTION FAST! He wont learn a DAMN THING until his wife leaves his sorry ass for a few months. But then again, maybe that wont work either if he doesnt give a shit about his family.

The sad thing is that in cases like madcappers, the gambler stops caring about his family anyway. This kid is BAD NEWS for everyone.

Jake is a great guy. I had the pleasure of meeting him at the TOW bash last year. I did think that we needed to check his ID for his beer that he was drinking. I know that he has known of sadcapper as long as I have, but that is no excuse. I for one have NEVER liked that dickhead and that is easily seen by my post against him over the past 7 years

I just hope the money he paid off wasn't post-up money because the timeframe would be right. Not saying it was, just saying I hope that's not the case.
