I would have posted this in the baseball section, but I didn't want to get in trouble within the selection forums. He has picked a lot of winners and has done a great job. But his record keeping leaves a lot to be desired. He claims his current record is 11-5, +19 units. I noticed a discrepency in Friday's record keeping so I looked at his picks since opening day. I have his record at 10-6, +15.03 units. Now, even the record I looked up is amazing. I'd take that any time. I just think it is important to be accurate with one's record keeping. I follow the great cappers on several boards and I think mofome might be one of them. I just want to know the real record. This is how I came up with my record for him: Sun. 4-2: I could not find any selection. Mon. 4-3: Mets Over 7 (no line given & I couldn't find one for O7, so I will assume it was -110) Det (-124) Won Det and lost over, so 1-1, -0.10 units. Tues. 4-4: Oak (no line given; best number I found was -112) Ana (no line given; best number I found was -108) Won Oak and lost Ana, so 1-1, -0.08 units. YTD: 2-2, -0.18 units. Wed. 4-5: Det for 10 units (no line given; best I found was -143) Balt (no line given; best I found was -145) Oak (no line given; best I found was +105) Phil (no line given; best I found was +105) Milw (no line given; best I found was -108) Wash (no line given; best I found was +101) Won Det, Balt, Oak, Milw, & Wash and lost Phil, so 5-1, +13.06 units. YTD: 7-3, +12.88 units. Thurs. 4-6: Mets -1.5 for 4 units (-115) Balt Over 9 (no line given & I couldn't find one so I assumed -110) Mets Over 7.5 for 4 units (no line given & I couldn't find one so I assumed -110) Won the Mets & Over and lost the Balt Ov, so 2-1, +6.90 units. YTD: 9-4, +19.78 units. Fri. 4-7: Padres -1.5 (+155) (He gave no unit size, but his records made it seem as it was a 3 unit play; he said he was 1-2, -4 units. So I recorded it as a 3 unit play) Sea for 3 units (-125) Milw for 2 units (-134) Won Milw and lost Sea and SD, so 1-2, -4.75 units. YTD: 10-6, +15.03 units. (Note: I brought Friday's discrepency to his attention and asked if he was betting in a different fashion than traditional; to win one unit with favorites and one unit on 'dogs. His response was that he rounded the Friday record down, but it was alright as he had rounded up on other days.) |

teddy lets keep this kind of stuff down here.....fair enough? You may be right, i dont really have time to check it right now, nor do i know exactly how mofo makes his wagers.....so feel free to keep any eye on anyone, and ask questions, but lets not bog up the main forum with it, since it really doesnt pertain to any contest, money , or anything... Hope u understand, and best of luck... Bucs |

Nice work... This thread definitely does not belong here. Teddy states his case, provides detail, shows respect and does not slam. Records can be a very touchy subject. If there is not a site policy on it there should be... |

He has a very legitimate point. People's records can get out of hand. You can forget about a game, or post plays and then not come back for a few days and "forget" who won or covered, or whatever. I think he is just saying that we need a more accurate way of keeping track. | |
