Suggestion for The Pig contest

Why do we have this double secret entry that is released like a CIA document? With the posts not showing up, I think I posted the same thing about 4 times because my internet connection is acting up and it sucks.

If someone is going to copy, they surely ain't going to do it the first week, are they?

Also, there are a few people in that contest that I would like to tail for real money wagers ... it would be nice to see who certain people picked before we made our real wagers over the weekend, no?

Can we make two threads? one thread for the odd seeds ... and one for the even seed ... and the odd seeds can't enter or look at the entries from the even seeds.

We caught people being unethical first round last year and we decided that the whole contest would be on Post review. Any POst up contest for higher amounts is always like this here. YOu will be amazed at how many people will copy plays for a $100 free play. It started from the jump last year.


Most people that post in there Post plays in the sports forums anyways

cincy - as someone who did this last year this is BY FAR the BEST way to go having it on post review so no one knows their opponent's picks until after the fact. as far as posting some picks so people can tailgate them - again - that would allow people to copy picks. if i am struggling and know you are doing well - i can wait till YOUR picks get posted then copy all 5 and hope you do well and i can move on - when otherwise i might not have

dirty is DEAD ON here and this is the best/only way to go. it does suck not seeing any plays but it really is the best way to do things

Well as a first time player I wish someone would have told me (Hache) that the post were on post review. I posted the same thing I know three times. I just couldn't understand why it kept going away.

There is no reason for anyone not to see it... It is rule #6 In the rules that have been posted for over a month. I put it in Bold below....

Rules:

1. Minimum of a $50 post up to THE PIG is required. The first 64 posters to send in their money and e-mail hacheman@eog.com will be accepted in the contest. NO SPOTS WILL BE SAVED!!! The Money is your to play with!!!
2. Teams will be seeded by a blind draw in each of the four 16-team brackets.
3. The contest will start on Saturday, September 8, 2007 with that day's NCAA games.
4. Each Head-to-Head Match Up will be a best of 3 series.....
   1. Round One (64 teams) will last weeks 1-3
   2. Round 2 (32 teams) will last weeks 4-6
   3. Round 3 (16 teams) will last weeks 7-9
   4. Round 4 (8 Teams) will last weeks 10-12
   5. Round 5 (Final 4) will last weeks 12-15
   6. Round 6 (Championship Round) will last weeks 16, 17 and Wild Card Playoff Round
5. Each player will make 5 plays each week (any combination of NFL/NCAA). All lines will be posted from THE PIG on Wednesday of that week and will not change. Only Saturday and Sunday games will be allowed. For grading purposes only all juice will be -110.
6. The contest threads will be on Post Review each week until game time on Sunday to ensure all plays are private. If you post and your plays don’t show up, that is why. A Moderator will approve all posts at one time.
