it was fine, but hache has taken the liberty of fucking it up. hes made a rule that is mind-numblingly stupid. someone has to fix it. its not even a question as to what should be done. unbelievable how simple things can be fucked up so badly.

i made 2 posts in that forum. one in reply to the stupidity of the rule. it has not been approved for some reason. weird. however, the 2nd post has. so, i took the liberty of saying what i wanted, where i wanted, with who i wanted. all im stating are some simple facts that will help, not hurt, everyone.

mofome I was aware of the call by Hache.... If you are a mod and you help get the contest funded and graded you get to make the judgements on the rules. That is just the way it is... its now clear to everyone and a simple rule. Its a great contest.

if you're a mod, you get paid to do things. one of them is not change the rules that are in place. i signed up with rules. they dont get changed after the start of the contest. its not an 'if' and im not asking any questions. whats stupid is changing the rules based on 2 people who didnt do anything right. ignorance at its best.

take a poll on the people in, hache wont win. but who cares, its not about the people in the contest, its about hache.

And we will all decide together tomorrow or sometime what to do about it.... Bitching in the main forum is not going to help. We have a contest section so things like this can be handled in it with all the rest of the Contest stuff.

having competent people running things would help, but isnt happening. how about this, approve my post in haches thread? i didnt post it on accident and i explained my points. its this eog or therx, im getting confused.

Guys this is pretty simple..if you go 4-0 and then forget to make a pick you can use rule 8 that says

1. All plays are due by 12 noon EST on Saturday for NCAA and 12 noon EST on Sunday for the NFL. Any plays posted late will be counted as a loss.

Just post a bogus game late sometime before the contest is graded and you have a loss per rule 5...so nobody 4-0 should worry about losing out..just post a game late, but do post that game dont leave it at 4 games...

I honestly believe Hache is agreeing with you guys.. he posted in one post that if you post any picks they are counted... I just don't think he is explaining himself correctly.

I believe what he is saying is that if you don't post any plays or post after the deadline then you are DQ'd

its very simple. if you post 4 games, the best you can be is 4-1. thats fair, thats simple. im a human, i mess up. i cant be DQ'd for putting myself at a disadvantage. i cant check to make sure ive picked and sometimes people pick NCAA one morning and then NFL the next. if you cant sign on, on sunday...you just lose. 0-5. thats neat.



no one would only post 5 on purpose, ttt. people make mistakes. no one wants to handicap themselves.

if you dont post exactly 5 games, you are banned from eog and you have your penis chopped off. no one agreed with changing the rule, a few voiced that they did not want it changed, but hache did it anyway. hache says something and there is no changing his mind. hes as open minded as a lamp.

of course. i can pick 5 and im not worried about this contest. i'd like to win, but losing wouldnt effect my day. what i do care about it everyone in this thing. the contest should be as good as possible for everyone. im passionate about people and that things are the best they can be for Everyone. if someone is being an ass about their stance and i know its not whats best, i'll light things up. this rule wont likely effect me from here out, but it will effect someone in a way that it shouldnt. changing the rule, to what hache has suggested, is the worst option possible. its just extremely stupid for many reasons.

Mo I understand you are frustrated, but you need to watch what you are saying..............I have got along with you from day 1.......but if you continue to bash someone that is part of my family, then a line will be drawn....

There was 1 incident this week regarding 2 posters that made things a little complicated and has put them both behind a week & not having to play catch-up this week by posting 2 different sets of 5-game plays. I initially added that dq rule because of this problem.

If some want to use the arguement that the change made was considered changing the rules after people have signed up, or the addition of a rule was not right after the fact, then the arguement could also be used that the original rules state that you must post 5 games total, period. According to those rules, if they are not followed, then a poster could be disqualified for that week.

Once again, if you want to play exactly by the rules mo, then show me where in the rules that it states that if someone does post only 3-4 games for example, the other 1-2 will automatically be counted as losses and that poster moves on. Please show me. Does it make sense to merely grade them as losses? Yes it does, but as you keep pointing out.....RULES ARE RULES.....And in that case, if the rules are not followed here: Each player will make 5 plays each week (any combination of NFL/NCAA)......... then it is a clear violation of the rules which calls for a dq if need be.

Only playing hardball as you are.....

However, I'm going to do exactly what you say is wrong.

I'm going to ADD or CHANGE a rule that was not in the contest to begin with:

Each player will make 5 plays each week (any combination of NFL/NCAA). All lines will be posted from THE PIG on Wednesday of that week and will not change. Only Saturday and Sunday games will be allowed. For grading purposes only all juice will be -110. Any of the 5 required plays that are posted late or not posted at all will be counted as a loss/losses.
