I am curious, why do you gamble even when you will end up losing money? Do you expect to win money or do you expect to lose the money you bet? Was it all for the "fun?" Did you know that medical research finds gambling harmful?

I mean you are eventually going to lose your money, so why do it? If you do it for the fun "enjoy the ride" the money you lose can bring a lot more enjoyment in a different way, no?

I tried betting once and it was, win 22 cents, lose $1.

I was so angry. I did not know until after I betted and asked somebody.

I won but I could see that in the long run, I will lose every penny I own if I continue!

That means you don't learn from your losses and are not a smart gambler and don't have good Money Management.

They have a term for this: It is called "Escape Gambling"

No answer will please this guy, sounds like a Gamblers Anonymous counselor. Bottom line; there are many reasons people gamble:
- A lot find it ejoyable hobby
- some are addicted to it
- some make a living at it
- some people like it as a hobby AND are damn good at it
- ACTION some people love the action, others 'need' it (see above)
