Most of them stopped posting their too.

The worst thing the Rx ever did was bring Rick in....and the new ones they hired are paid like 1/3rd of what was being paid...Rick slashed everything for his own benefit....he tried to talk RobFunk into quitting but Rob refused to quit.
Let me explain how business works in the real world - now, we are going to have to venture outside of your little internet world - when a company's profits decrease they are forced to cut expenditures in order to stay afloat - about 2 years ago many books stopped taking US customers and this significantly impacted advertising revenues for all these forums - thus, they can close shop or make adjustments

JMan, you know I like you, but some of us really dont care about this stuff. Share with us some of that sports knowledge, not drama knowledge.

One thing that has been proven over the years is one site bad mouthing another site does not leave any marks. The few sites that have collapsed like bettorsworld did so from within.

Therx is still a great site. The mgmt gambled their investment money on a pay odds service instead of user enhancements. Turned out to be a lucky break for sites like EOG. If therx would have poured those same resources into enhancing their strength which is their forums, there may just be dirty, shrink, pete, jman, frog, osu and hache here talking. But, you take gambles in business and not all of them work out as planned. Maybe their next shot down the field will work out better.

Of course this forum has the same affiliate type deals. I know that I have "bought" Shrink new furniture each year!

Journeyman, my plasma TV still works fine.

On a side note, Wilheim is quickly running that site into the ground. I have NEVER talked to someone who is as stubborn as Willie. He is right, EVEN when he is wrong.

This is a very accurate opinion, IMO. The Rx made some bad choices over the past two years, no question about it ...they have horrible management now, just horrible...there's no creativity or vision, combine that with a poor economy both in the industry and around the U.S. and now they are stuck with a losing business model.

The real owner has lost touch , and this is what happens when non forum people try and come in and take over. Marty and Rick are not forum people, they will never have what it takes to make a forum work, it just isn't their thing.

It's a shame Roy thought the Rx was a turn key operation and let those poor leaders lead. It takes years and hard work to build a forum, Rick and Marty don't have a following, you can't just pop in from time to time and say I'm Marty Jenson and you're not and expect people to be overjoyed, The Shrink is the prime example of how IT SHOULD BE, HANDS ON!

I could go on and on about how and why Rick dropped the ball, lazy, never around and a liar are three good reasons....and Marty is a never was in forumville, just some lucky fuck who Roy handpicked to be his front man....I think the last time Marty actually posted he made a guarantee that went bad and he was done, rightfully so...Stick to online casino theft Marty,Marty is nopt the guy making those Marty Jenson plays either.... With those two stuffy, no talent dingbats leading the way this was inevitable, throw in Wilheim who does not relate well to the 20 and 30 somethings and you have a ship that is sitting at a dry dock.

Above-The Rx has become a money pit, with an awful management team , and their hands off owner nowhere around, the site no longer has any direction.

Above-from 2005
Back in the day the site sailed like very few of its kind, with a hands on owner (The Shrink) skippering the mighty ship and letting his people do what they did best.

I'm glad your TV is working, you were still suckered as they are dirt cheap off brand models.

I was commenting on those TVs that were given away while I was still there, they all showed up broken when they arrived.

Wilheim has never been wrong a day in his life, according to Wilheim.
He was a decent poster when he worked the late shift but as a guy in charge he doesn't have it, you shoudln't have to change your entire personality once you get a promotion either, like he did.

I can't tell you how many times TT myself and Tanya rolled our eyes behind his back.

What brand is the Tv and what did you pay for?

Whatever you do DON'T BUY the PICKS, it might be RICK himself giving them out

Sports Options is now selling picks LOL... let me just put it this way, the guys behind the picks could be anyone, as Rick A had promised those who worked for Rx Odds they would have first crack at selling picks once that service became available.

How can you guys not find the info above relevant & appreciate it
Very important that everyone is aware, especially if a sports forum who's sole existence is to share sportsbetting info & picks among members begins to get involved with scamming people by trying to sell picks...

haven't been to this board or the RX in a month or so as i had some family business to take care of but obviously little in the way of journeyman and his weekly rants of days gone by has changed, i like and know many of the posters here but i see few if any supporting j-man and his continued bitterness for a former employer, most of us old timers can't get over the stiff job you pulled on tt, or the cigar man and threating to call the feds and your self indulgent post that add only to the bitterness of the many forums.

if you truly desire to regain some credibility pay your fcuking debts and wait 5-10 yrs, only then can you ever have the respect you so obviously long for. it's sad for some of us to witness what you've become, i only hope you can one day hold your head up high because you deserve to not because you want to.

I don't want , need or seek respect from anyone online and this is my first rant in sometime, just sick of the holier than thou Rx and their scam they run on their posters....you can take my posts as bitter and I can see why you would, I know what I am saying is legit and some will see it that way, I can't help those who still wanna drink the Rx Kool Aid.

Come down to the baseball forum and say hello sometime....not much has changed there, still winning at bases.

i did not win a plasma at RX but I did win the Vizio flat screen..it is the only TV in my house and its sweet Hi Def action. All from Skybook which is a most excellent book. those were real TV's .

as for calling our Sports Savant, he is one of the hardest working mods out there, a great hockey handicapper... thats just bizzare Journy, what is wrong with you today?
