          Shrink,

To the best of your knowledge, have big sports betting syndicates alligned themselves with poker players since the poker boom to get down big $ in Vegas and offshore lets say? It's no secret these poker guys now have lots of cash, so therefore them getting down a 6 figure wager for someone else wouldn't raise any eyebrows if it's perceived to be the poker players own money.

Maybe it DID move the line a lot. No one said he just made the bet. I would wager that he made the bet just after the line opened at 3.5. The line then jumped to 5.5.

the ml bet was made just as written in rj article...i play poker with these guys every day...colts on the ml is the safe play for a one bet scenario like the SB...its the last football bet of the year...

I guess the sportsbook that confirmed this, the LVRJ and I are misinformed...

FYI, there is a lot of PUBLIC money on this game and a million dollar bet doesn't move the line at places that didn't get that same wager...

It's my understanding that there are many places that take big wagers on the Super Bowl as well....

                    P.S.

Do you have any clue what the total handle on this game is?

the lvrj didnt comfirm anything, number one. it said
"One story circulating among gambling insiders is that Walters collaborated in some way with poker pro Phil Ivey to place a $2 million money-line bet on Indianapolis at a Strip sports book."
nowhere is that confirmation, its rumor. number 2, apparently you are misinformed because you stated over and over that it was bet on the point spread, yet now you say its on the money line. so yes, you are misinformed. number 3, he would not lay the market price early on in the week when the public money hasnt even began to come in on the saints money line and he could get a better price for the same or a bigger amount at any point this weekend. 100% bs

I went ahead and took the Colts m/l -187. I'll be surprised if it goes much lower than that.

What line did BW get the Colts m/l at?

I was passing along info to be helpful...

                          I don't care what u think..

But I did notice this part of your quote was left out...

MGM Mirage sports book director Jay Rood did not get into specifics but said, "We took a seven-figure bet on the Colts money line."

How many people do you know that bet this type of money?

a big bet is not going to move the superbowl line.

a ton is bet on this game it would take a lot of big bets to move the line.

shrink your info was solid no need to prove yourself IMO

and you conviently left out the fact that you originally made it a point that he laid the 4 with the colts over and over to the point of pasting a wager you made for 10k on the colts -4 just on the basis of bw laying the 4. now you backtrack and say he supposedly its on the money line. nice flip flopping there real solid info. better prices will pop up all weekend long than -200 on the money line, yet he backed up the truck as soon as the lines came out? smells like fish
