watched the movie san andreas last night on genesis, great quality video just like dvd. had problems with the movie pausing especially towards the end, it would run for a couple of minutes then freeze. It got a little frustrating but i was able to get through it. I did not clear my cache before i started watching it so that probably had something to do with that but overall its a great box, ive bought a stick and a box from bushay and upgraded to the beast. Love it

And if you did.....there are apps for that that save the link so you can just click "My Genesis" or "Super Favorites" and it stores the working link for you. I don't know how best to explain it....but the Firetv box just has a crispness to it as your clicking around to different links compared to the stick. If your a heavy user and the extra $50 isn't going to set you back.....I'd definitely go with the box. But if your putting it in a spare room or for instance I have one on a tv out in my garage. In the summer I sit out there and watch the ball games. My daughter has a stick in her room and I've never herd a peep of complaints about it from her. Wife used a stick for the longest time but I just upgraded her to a box. Box also has a usb port and a slot for Ethernet. If you wanted to hard wire it from you're router. I've never saw the need as my internet is 120 mps. And buffering is caused from bad feed/links...not slow internet. Either one is great. But I'll say this..I make an extra $10 on the stick but always push the box. Its just a better device overall. That's why Amazon sells one for $40 and the other for $100. But the boxes are completely out of stock ever where and i'm sitting on 20 here at the house ready to ship when orders come in.

      $150 + $10 shipping for the box.

I'll even give you a phone call to get you going and to make sure you understand the basics and the do's and dont's. Which you will appreciate in the long run. I'm well versed in all of this and don't mind helping when I can. You guys have been good to me and I like to pay it forward..

Christmas is right around the corner. I don't expect the boxes to last that long to be honest with you.
      Thanks for the info

Bushay, friend was asking how to get USB working with wireless keyboard/mouse. Said it wasn't recognized, but I told him I've never tried. Imagine you have to load a driver somewhere, unless some support is built into box? Has anybody got USB working with a Logitech wireless mouse & keyboard.

Joe....I have never been able to get a wired or wireless mouse to work on ANY of my boxes. But there's 2 ways around this. Most every box or stick has the Remote Mouse app on it OR another one for android called the Wukong remote. I put them on most all of them. Especially the newer ones. On the Ipad or Iphone you can download the Remote Mouse and pair it up and use it that way. And on Android I use the Wukong Mouse. Same way. Download the app on an Android tablet or phone and pair it up. This give you the ability to Push apps onto the box or unzip files. For instance when an app dies and they introduce a new one, Sometimes you need to download it off the internet to your Dropbox. THen you can long press it to get it onto the Kodi where you can unzip it. It sounds harder that it actually is. If you can get a mouse to work in any way shape or form your golden as a lot of tech stuff you cannot do unless you have a working mouse. I can walk you thru it with a phone call when your ready. Just give me a heads up before you call.

I put Chris B beast on for the hell of it. Way too many dead links and a lot of favorites (that lead to know where) prelisted in favorites. Basicaly he favorites everything by the looks. No SALTS preloaded and no ALLUC (although both are in repos. Basically that one has every repo around. I also dont like you cant load your own zip addresses, or I havent found where you do it yet anyway. But I guess if he has them listed already you dont need to, although I am sure he doesnt have the mirror which updates kodi automatically as it advances so that will be a pain once they get to 15.2 or higher.

Also way too much porn, glad my wife wasnt around thing has about 10 porn apps on it not ot mention theyre all favorited besides.

The Beast comes preloaded with every repo you can think of. And the latest update does have the Salts app preloaded. If not its nothing to go into your repo's and add it or simply search and install. Very very simple process compared to the boring previous builds.

If you don't want the porn you should have chose to download the Beast Encore instead of the Beast. Its basically the Beast without porn although I think he missed one or 2 which can easily be disabled or uninstalled.
                  Love the BEAST.

yeah its overkill, I piece mealed mine and it didnt have so much stuff I probably wont ever use.

I did figure out how to add sources though its under VIDEO headliner.

One thing it did give was a couple good IPTV 4 streams which I couldnt get before despite having about 12 options for them.

Was a lot of hassle for very little. I found out after the purchase it was mainly geared for European sports. Took me forever to get it installed. ( they said $5 PayPal so I sent that. 3 days later my sub still was not activated. It was actually 5 Euros....which was just under $8 American. It's all computer generated. So it never regeisted my purchase/donation and once we figured out the problem.....I realized the HD content I was looking for was for UK sports related material. Then I kind of accidentally sold a box with the sub on it.) I've come to the concluding all these pay subs on Kodi are mostly all scams or useless. Live and learn.
