The man is extremely sickening with all that's in the balance and he's out there as a professional politician talking as if he can't anticipate the spin and now trying to cover up. Mr mercer why cant you admit that someone in your party messed up. The guy should come out and atleast explain as it is not just Bush or the Republicans who are mad, watching many different channels and reading and many in "your" party are upset with him and want him to explain.

He needs to at the very least clarify. I know what he was saying as I am an intelligent person, however, many are not and view what he said much differently than the way he "meant" it.

this was a man that ran for president and he is insulting our troops that fight for our freedom no matter how anyone feels about the war...they do what they are told and he is insulting them..
that is wrong no matter what your party affiliation is.
