Re: Bodog advice?

you make the deposit on bodog using UCHARGE service. you buy a phone card(something to that effect) from them and they transfer the minutes into money in your account. for withdrawals, they are currently do western union withdrawals, 1 per week, 3k max and they pick up the fees. any one after the 1st one you have to pay whatever fee is.

Thanks marlboro. It looks like that my bank or middleton financial which bodog uses is refusing to transfer funds from my bank. Not complaining, just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them.

Re: Bodog advice?

I really don't know all the details of ach's, i just know i used echeck with bodog and several other books for years with no problems. I have an echeck that i'm waiting on to clear there right now so i can withdraw and limit my exposure. I saw on my bank statement that my echeck cleared my bank
on the 17th, but bodog says they have to get the money from the clearing house before i'm free to withdraw. I have had an incredible run this last week and I'm scared shitless i will get screwed over some how. since the check has cleared my account, can anyone here see anyway that the deposit could not go through? If i have proof bodogs check processor got thier money(my bank statement)does anyone see anyway bodog could nullify deposit and thus winnings.

thanks in advance for any info.

Like we have said, its all kind of a waiting game right now....however, the problem with the law has been US banks dealing with these processors, and since your money has already cleared your bank, i would "think" you are alright...however this is speculation, as some of these companies are also getting pressure to not deal with sportsbooks, even if not located in the US, so its possible they wont transfer the money to bodog.....

Its a bad spot to be in for you right now, but this is new to all of us....Your best bet would be to ask Bodog directly, explain the situation, and ask if they are having any trouble/resistance from this clearing house.....

I know thats not the answer you wanted, but this is all a gray area to each of us right now, as what was normal yesterday, isnt today.

Welcome to EOG, by the way..

Thanks for the reply, bucsfan. I took your advice and called bodog and asked them specifically if I had any chance of being jilted once check cleared my bank. CS assured me that as long as money had cleared my bank, they would get theirs and I would be good to go. Still worries me a little that clearance date for a check on the 13th has been backed up to the 24th. But i'm sure they have a backlog. CS also assured me that many more deposit and withdraw options will be available by the end of next week.

here's to better times to come.

Its great that they would have told you that there were different options coming. Ill be interested to see what new options they are. There are alot of smart people running books, Im sure that they can find a way to get over this speed bump.

Re: Bodog advice?

First time posting here...greetings...read this thread with great interest because I just had a recent similiar experience with a surprising ending...I deposited 2 dimes into my Bodog account on the 17th and lost it all that same night...I had made the deposit using my bank check card and saw the next morning that the charges had been posted and my bank account debited. This Saturday morning when I reviewed my bank account, all the money had been credited back to my account (was described as a reversal of previous charges) and my Bodog account now shows that I'm in the red...called Bodog to see how I could settle up and they said this has been happening with great frequency just over the last week or so. Would be curious to hear others comments...Mark

Re: Bodog advice?

That actually scares me a little, what if clearing house returned my echeck deposit and then bodog could negate my winnings......

Re: Bodog advice?

Well, when I checked my account activity it shows 2 entries with the following description "Deposit not processed at provider" for a dime each time, and for each entry my balance was debited by the same amount. This was only 2 days after the initial deposits off my bank check card. Like I said, the money was returned to my bank account...kind of unexpected, but seems like someone out there is playing hardball. I would guess they'll only debit your account for the deposit returned and leave the winnings intact, but who knows. The guy at Bodog said this is happening very frequently now so I'd imagine some other folks here must have had the same experience.
