Re: Anybody know the 2006 League Average Offensive Power Ratings Michael Murray used?
Bear with me Hokie and maybe i can help. lets use the american league for example. Take each team and do the following (at bats x on base percentage x slugging percentage x .975) then take that number and divide it by number of games played by that team. This gives you the Power Rating for that team. do this with every AL team. Then take the average of all AL power ratings and you have what you are looking for. If you are using Murray's info for anything I strongly suggest Excel. It seems like alot but once you get this into excel you can adjust the power rating every day.
