it is a good spot for them to correct the slide. Got Hill going, playing at home after an emotional game. If they don't get it here they may go on a ride downhill for the next two weeks. They need this one. They need to come out swinging the bats for a change.

I am a tad concerned about the sox after they lost Lowell and Drew yesterday.

yeah, they seem to get hits almost every inning, they just cant get a key hit, or string them together...they get 2 hits with 2 outs, then an out, or a leadoff hit, then 2 guys strikeout......just not stringing them together

Cubs needed a game where Hill tossed a gem because of those bats. They need to score now to offset that debacle.

I'm a fan of your's but to see you put 2 units on the Cubs and 1 unit on the Sox upsets me. Right now you're looking at 1-1, -1.58 units on those plays and I hope you learn your lesson! :+textinb3

GL on everything else man. Red Sox look like the play of the day much like the Tigers were last night.... man that loss hurt me.... :( . BoSox have a solid bullpen though and I doubt they'd give up 5 runs in the 9th.

some of us aren't fooled by this pathetic team and had the braves friday and came back with them today, too

cubs (and NYY) should NOT be favored by this much over ANY team in MLB

Thats the kinda thing i was talkin about....same thing the Reds went through a couple weeks ago...

Today, with bases loaded, Koyie Hill hits a lazy pop fly to left, with bases loaded....next time up, with none on, he lines a hard single to deep left....

so 1/2 looks good in the stats, but it wasnt when we "needed" it....

All that being said, still only down a run, still have a shot...

those are the things that happen to teams struggling for sure. Hey down 1, 3 at bats to go, see what happens. Maybe the people on here rooting against your cubs, in your thread, will send them bad karma and give the cubs the win!

that didnt take long...lead off walk, comes in to score with 2 outs of course....difference between hitting in key situations, and not...grr

simply amazing.....Pagan leads off the inning with a liner into right field corner, one of the fastest runners on the team, doesnt even try to make a triple, and would have made it easy, fans booed..

so then, on next batter , ball skips away from catcher, but not far, so NOW HE TRIES for 3rd, with no outs, and of course, is thrown out....same play yesterday, with teams reversed, and ball ends up in left field, and braves get a run...today other way around, they get the out...

Base running for the Cubs has been their biggest weakness, for sure..

The cubs are a frustrated team.. arguing calls that aren't even wrong. I wouldn't put a penny on those guys.

Mets missed a great chance to get the over as well, after Reyes tripled and was on 3rd with 1 out, Chavez struck out of course....
