• Each Poster will pick 5 games from Each Saturday?s NCAA Football card (Sides or Totals)<o></o>
• Each Poster will give a brief write-up of why they like the play<o></o>
• The Posters will use the Lines Posted in the Contest Thread no later than Thursday of each Week of the NCAA Regular Season. If a Game is off the Board then the Don Best Closing Lines will be used to grade the Contest<o></o>
• Their will be No even numbers for a Push, all lines will be changed when Posted so each number has a Half point<o></o>
• All games must be posted by 12 pm EST each Saturday the Contest is held<o></o>
• All Entries must have the Rotation Number, Game and Spread posted or it will be counted as a Loss. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!<o></o>
• Top 3 in wins Each week is declared the winner<o></o>
• Tiebreaker will be Total combined Net Passing Yards in a Marquee game each week
• Any other Issues that arise not in these rules will be decided on by the EOG Moderators and their Decision will be final<o></o>

• Each Poster Must have 100 Posts at EOG to Enter<o></o>
• Each Poster Must have a Oddsmaker Account (does not have to be funded) before the Contest deadline of each week<o></o>
• Email dirty@eog.com with your account number and EOG posting name so we have your account number on file to assist in ease of Payment of Prizes<o></o>
• Post your plays in The Official Contest Thread in the EOG Contest Section each Week<o></o>
• The Contest will Last from September 1, 2007 until The Conference Championship week ending on Saturday, December 8, 2007<o></o>

Houston at Oregon - Houston won 10 games a year ago and came damn close to winning the 4 games they lost. They have 7 returning on defense and while they've lost some key talent on offense, there are enough returning lettermen on this team to bring a world of confidence to the table. They feel they can play with anyone and have the chance to prove it right out of the gate. The way Oregon faded down the stretch last year, we aren't about to lay double digits with them until they can prove they are for real. Houston +16.5

Arizona at BYU - There were only two blemishes on the BYU schedule last year. Arizona and Boston College. BYU will only have the chance to avenge one of those and they won't have to wait long to do it. What better way to start the year than with your only revenge game of the season? BYU -4.5​

East Carolina at Virginia Tech - Not about to buck Va Tech in their first game since this past years tragedy on their campus. Emotions will be sky high. While Skip Holtz has East Carolina headed in the right direction, they don't figure to find the end zone much, if at all on this day. Va Tech -27.5

Nevada at Nebraska - We know Nebraska will score some points here. The question is, can Nevada keep up. Our guess is, no. This is not the same Nevada team that lost to Miami by a point in the MPC Computers Bowl on New Years Eve. Their offense took a hit in the off season and it's offense they'll need here. Nebraska -21.5

UCLA at Stanford - At first glance this may look like blow out city. UCLA returns everyone but their QB from a year ago, a year in which they pounded Stanford 31-0 and beat USC. Expectations are sky high for the Bruins this year and they face lowly Stanford who won just one game a year ago. But that can all work to our favor. Coming off a one win season, you know you'll get a 100% effort from Stanford in the opener. A closer look at the Stanford/UCLA series also shows us that there's no shortage of close games between the two, particularly when they play the game at Stanford. A 3 point game in 2005. A Stanford win in 2003, 2001 AND 1999. Add it all up and Stanford has won 3 of the last 4 between the two when played at Stanford, with the lone loss being by just a field goal. Stanford +17.5

Wyoming +3.5 vs Virginia……………..I am not sure why Virginia is favored at Wyoming in this one. Wyoming was only 6-6 last year, but they had some tough losses, as a matter of fact they lost by one at Virginia last year. Virginia struggles on offense, while Wyoming was ranked nationally in total yards allowed. Home field is definitely the difference maker in this game. Very, very live home doggie here. No reason this should not be a defensive struggle like last years 13-12 game, so getting that extra half at the end of 3 might be huge, but I expect an outright win here.


Arizona +4.5 vs BYU……………Byu had a great season last year, have a winning streak at home and are playing an underachieving Arizona team and yet they are only favored by slightly more than a field goal. The whole reason for that is that Mr. Beck is now playing for the Miami Dolphins. BYU is certainly capable of blowing this team out, but my gut says no. Zona has most of their team back, including their QB, so I look for significant improvement on offense, while their defense is usually pretty decent anyways. BYU will struggle offensively the first few games until they find a replacement at QB (and they usually do), but it will take time. I really think either BYU blows them out, or Arizona wins outright, obviously I am going with the outright prediction. Zona is either going to come to play and be “on”, or they might run into a buzz saw in Provo.


C Michigan +7.5 vs Kansas……….For starters, C Michigan (10-4) had the better record last year ( I know, they are from a worse conference), but they have 14 starters back including their QB and Kansas (6-6) only 11 starters back and no QB. Here is something I read than sold me on this pick. C Michigan’s QB is probably the best in their conference, so you know he can throw the ball, and Kansas was last in the nation last year in pass defense. I don’t really need to know anything else. Getting more than a touchdown is a gift in my eyes.

E Michigan +19.5 vs Pittsburgh………….Let me start by saying I am a Pitt fan. COACH DAVE WANNSTEDT IS THE MOST UNDER RATED COACH IN AMERICA. Just kidding, he might be the worst. He has ruined almost every program (college or pro) that he has gone to. He might be coaching high school football next year. I have never seen a worse second half coach in my life. How can you trust Pitt as this big a favorite. I am not sure of their ATS record when favored by this many, but I am sure it sucks. E Michigan sucks too going 1-11 last year, but six of their losses were by 8 points or less. With Pitt losing their best receiver for the year and a new QB coming in, Pitt will run the ball most of the day, play conservative and not run up the score. E Michigan will find a way to score enough points for the cover. I am not calling for a E Michigan win, but if there was ever a coach who could lose a game like this, it would by Wanny. Have I mentioned I hate him. I am a Dolphins fan and he screwed them up and then went to my favorite college team. Like I said, next year he will probably be coaching my local high school team and work his way down to Jr. High and finally an elementary school flag football team. Guess I should stop ranting now.

Georgia Tech +2.5 vs Notre Dame………..I am just so sick of Notre Dame, the most over rated team in the country. This team just lives off history. Georgia Tech is the better team. It will be close being at the Irish, but Tech will win this game.

Michigan St -21.5 This team could surprise alot of people in the Big Ten. Don't be surprised if they get to a bowl this season. Todays game is a total mismatch on both sides of the ball and should be well in hand by mid 3rd qtr.

Texas -39.5 I had this game at 49 so this is a no brainer. Second most effective offense in the nation behind USC. I look for this to cover by half and coast with the run game in the second. This game is going to be ugly. Don't be surprised if Texas puts up 70 here.

Wyoming +3.5 This is a case of the linesmakers putting the wrong number on the board. This should be -2 for Wyoming in my opinion.

Purdue -6.5 A great number to get on a game that will be won by 20. Gotta love the free money.

Central Michigan +7.5 Gotta love getting points here when you have a offense like CMU.

-UCLA -17 (Returning starters for UCLA early in the seaon are huge The tree's under 1st year coach Jimmy H. will be overmatched all game. Look for a 24Plus point win here for the Bruins.)

-CMU +7.5 (The cream of the MAC are the Chips. Look for the MAC's best QB to have a nice night in Lawrence. The BIG 12 Jayhawks getting to much respect here. This will be close throughout.)

-Oklahoma St +7 (SEC teams are getting WAY to MUCH respect. The Cowboys are team to be reckoned with look for them to show there muscle tonight in a game they may win straight-up.)

-Colorado St +3 (Better team getting points in a rivalry game. I'll take the POINTS.)

-G-Tech +2 (Come on NOTRE DAME lost there entire offense form last year they have homefield but not revenge or experience on there side. G-TECH WINS by 7.

156 Under Miami/Marshall

Miami will have a very good defense. Marshall will struggle on offense. Miami will play conservative on offense. Marshall will score less than a TD.

160 Duke

Duke returns almost everyone on offense. Uconn starting a new QB and just won't be too good. I will take home dog here.

181 Arizona

Arizona has the better defense. They might have a bit better offense this year with new attack. BYU will miss Beck. Take the points.

187 Under Baylor/TCU

TCU has a ton back on defense and Baylor is going to have a hard time scoring this year. This will be a boring low scoring game. I think 27 to 10.

189 Over Oklahoma St/Georgia

Simply Okie State will have one of the best offenses in the country and though Georgia has good athletes on defense they won't be able to slow the Pokes down despite what Dirty says here. Okie State defense is weak link and even Georgia can take advantage of them here.
