SBRJohn leaving SBR

Start of a new SBR era! The end of one too. <hr style="color: rgb(51, 102, 153);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> If there was an award for the best posters and website participants no doubt it would go to those that check into SBR.

This year the entire SBR team will work harder than ever to bring you the best information along and some great fun. One new addition includes a robust wager tracker contained in an interactive and personalized page for each poster which we call MySBR. A new weekly video show with bookmakers and sharps breaking down the games, 3 major Beat The Prick - type capping contests(NFL, MLB, NBA) and the party of all parties, The SBR Bash in Las Vegas, are just a few of the parts of the wild year SBR has planned for you.

One thing that will change is that I will no longer be involved in the company after February 3rd, 2008. SBR has an excellent management team and an incredible team all the way around.

This move has been planned for some time. I?m looking forward to spending more time with family and with managing ongoing real estate ventures.

Many people created SBR and nearly all of them are still with the company. Players and sportsbooks alike can be assured the company will always be run with the highest standards.

I?d like to thank all the loyal SBR visitors and all the bookmakers who put up with me all these years. You guys are the best!
John

Re: SBRJohn leaving SBR

SBR on decline. More contests doesn't = better forum.

Their forum has always been kind of an afterthought...

Hell, they only added it 2 1/2 years ago...

It's the sports book ratings that they will always be known for...

Re: SBRJohn leaving SBR

unfortunately I agree the forum at SBR is on the decline and has been for some time now...

Re: SBRJohn leaving SBR

How you been pags? Don't see you around here that much.

I think it's the influx of a younger crowd that's hurting them.

Re: SBRJohn leaving SBR

Huh?? They have a line service for free that rivals paid services

They have a wager tracker coming out for free that is awesome

SBR is another Covers on a small level

All the other forums have nothing but posting

JJ, Gold,

I like John a lot but you are crazy if you believe SBR's line service rivals paid ones...

No one that is a Professional can afford any type of delay, so they all use either Linetracker or GJ Update.

NONE use SBR lines over the other paid services, period...

I can't comment on something that doesn't exist yet (Wagertacker)...

And to state that SBR is Covers is akin to stating that Connecticut is as big as China, imho...

According to alexa, Covers just swallows up all of the forum sites COMBINED...

Re: SBRJohn leaving SBR

I could go on and on about covers but just for starters, their line feed has appeared in MAJOR PUBLICATIONS like the USA TODAY and many other high profile places...

Hell, they earn more money selling just their handicapping picks than any of the other sites do as an entire entity....

Re: SBRJohn leaving SBR

How does covers line service, I think it's sportsinsights, compare to Linetracker and GJ?

When I checked the free service at SBR at best there was a 10 second delay and most were a lot longer with many books way off.

Amazing. And they never seem to be involved in forum wars.
