One game I love so far today that I felt was worth posting.
507/508 - Notre Dame/ Louisville total of 143 1/2.
Let's face it, the Irish run the ball at a fast, fast pace.
No team has been able to slow them down unless they just have a clunker of a night. They continue to light up the scoreboard having 14 overs in their last 17 games. They average a blistering 80 points a game while Louisville scores 72. What has kept this total down is the Cardinals are allowing only 55 ppg at home and they have played 9 of last 10 under at home. However, in their current 7 game winning streak they have scored 75, 61, 80, 88, 59, 71 and 87 points.
Notre Dame simply runs by teams. They are as fluid as can be in transition from defense to offense. They get out on the fast break as fast as any team in the nation. You can expect Louisville to try to press full court. this will lead to some easy baskets on both sides of the ball. Also, they will try some zone, a system that the Irish have torched all year long.
I think both these teams will get off at least 65 shots here.
What made this a big green light for me was this quote from Rick Pitino, the Louisville coach found on covers.com:
"It's like playing Georgetown at twice the speed." And this:
"You know going in the way they're going to play (fast) and we're going to play fast with them," Pitino said. "We're not going to try and slow it down."
I think this game climbs over the total late in the game.
507/508 - Notre Dame/ Louisville OVER 143 1/2
As always, good luck in all your wagers
