As the goal of the surge was to bring about a reconciliation between Shiites and Sunnis in Iraq along with a re-written constitution-and our stooge in power there ,Al-Maliki ,has said he has no desire in the forseeable future to begin reconciliation with his hated Sunni rivals-----isn't the surge a failure -since its goal has NOT even begun to be met??? Yes, after ethnic cleansing of many neighborhoods in Baghdad and after our bribing thousands of Sunnis not to kill our troops has had a positive effect on the death toll----when and how will we force the Iraqi government to get off their asses??? And when will that Iraqi oil start paying the bills for our occupation?? Success??? You've got to be kidding!!:+clueless
