The following is an exchange that happened about 10 minutes ago - about 2+ hours before the start of the CWS. for those wondering why i have an account there - i won some free money at this book MANY years ago "across the street" and because they have "Dime" MLB lines i keep money there............but maybe not much longer. Please tell me how many books DO NOT book the CWS and Omaha? ONE - SKYBOOK!

David: The supervisor in charge will not post a line for that game, but the Line Manager will look into once he gets in, in about 25 minutes.
Me: can i give you all some advice - you have booked games in Omaha EVERY SINGLE YEAR and i know i am not the only one who expects and thinks and wants you to book the CWS
David: As I said, the current supervisor know nothing about this game, if we've booked it in the past we will most likely post it once the Line Manager gets in.

An ELITE sports book stopped doing transfers with them recently while I was in Costa Rica...

And yes Winky, I agree with you that it is VERY minor league of Skybook not to offer lines on this event, when every other Major Sportsbook does.

what can i do? the guy on the other end is probably some 21-year-old kid (at most) making Min Wage and has ZERO say in what goes on....so why take it out on him?

the LINE MANAGER - THAT is the one to "go off on"

what makes it even more frustrating is on their betting menu they have College Baseball LISTED as an option. why list it if you don't book it. again - i can understand NOT booking games until Omaha but once we get to Omaha booking the CWS is a must

then again check out some of these past "encounters"

the first one asking why they are the ONLY book NOT to offer a Puck Line for the NHL - meaning you either have to lay -300 with the Wings or pass the game as opposed to -1.5 +100ish

At this time we do not have plans of adding a hockey puck line, but we appreciate your feedback and it will be passed ?up the latter? for further consideration. Sometime back we did offer puck lines, but had almost no interest. Hockey itself is not one of our top products.

Skybook is yesterday's news as far as I'm concerned. Once all the creative marketing promtions, free half points offered daily, free $500 for playing 500 hands of $1 blackjack, etc. went away I think a lot of people felt no need to continue using them.

If that book is the Greek, that is a very bad sign,indeed !

I gave up on Skybook a long time ago. I consider them similar to Hollywood......once good, but now useless.

sorry to see skybook has fallen so far. i know they still have a couple good cs people there though.

another book not taking transfers from them is extremely disturbing.

Did Skybook stiff Shrink? I'm coming in late on this thread and I'm lost. I've dealt with Skybook for years and never had a payout problem.

This will not be popular but it won't be the first time this has happened.

I don't work for or with them or have anything to do with them but I have never had an issues with them - NONE, NEVER.

Don't know nor care, much, about the other side of the counter but have no issues with them.

I got alarmed when they said the only method for method for withdrawals was with person to person transfers via Moneygram or WU. No checks!

Are there any books left that will transfer with them? Is the elite book going to charge us back on recent transfers?

I'm sure it is not easy this time of year but you can't sell hot dogs if you scrinch up the the condiments and say - here just eat it on a plain bun and shut up.

Yes, they transfer to The Greek and the Cris Books for free (Cris, Bookmaker, DSI). Do the transfer the other way from Cris and expect to pay between $100-$200, depending on the amount transfered. As far as moving money is concerned, the CRIS Books are the ones that actually suck.

PS Skybook will also do a same day wire transfer to your checking account.

Well, if the Greek still transfers with them - I am good with it. That is what counts. I understand about banking costs and don't blame anyone for trying to cut down on that kind of overhead. Probably not totally right to shift the burden to someone else to shoulder check costs but, whatever, I guess.

But, transfers are effective. Economically for the industry it is better than taking the funds out of the system. The book writes a check - the money is gone again for everybody from the sportsbook side of the fence.

Either that or the books need to find a way to guarantee player funds. Then nobody has to worry and the banking system stress would be relieved. I happen to like Skybook but they are sending off vibrations that make players skittish.

So tonite I can play the LA Galaxy/New England game @ Olympic with a total of 3 -108/-115 OR i can go to Skybook and play a total of 2.5 -175/+145

Skybook is consistent here - NEVER posting a 3 when everyone else has it because posting a total with an even number might mean refunding money

For the record i LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE O3 -108 here - it is a Xmas gift 6 months early but i will NOT play O2.5 -175 because that is dumber than dumb

wonder how much (little) money Skybook is costing itself putting out an UNBETTABLE line on a game
