Internet Traffic Wars: What Do They Mean?

I am old. Bear with me. I am trying to figure out how to promote EOG.

I understand traffic, volume, ratings, and hits.

I am still grappling with the relationship between traffic and business on the Internet.

If I come on a site and press the correct keyboard button 4 million times a day and never buy anything from a sponsor, does that do an Internet site any good at all?

Can you walk in and say to a sponsor, "Yep, we had 10 zillion hits last month," and the sponsor is going to base his ad budget on that, rather than on how much business was generated from your site? That really is a new advertising paradigm.

Until I figure this out...

All forums should ban together......and fight the internet gambling law....instead of fighting each other.....otherwise it wont matter who is winning the war....all forums will go away if there is future harm to internet gambling...
