They don't make them like they used to Devil! But, tell you what, I believe Rivera could have had many more 'tough' saves if he came along in Gossage's era. Not his fault he has been coddled for the most part by Torre. The man has worked many longer save situations in postseason, which indicates to me that he could do it if called upon. Thanks for bringing up Goose, I love that guy, as much fun as he was to watch pitch, that's how good a guy he was to meet and talk to during and after his career.
