I think the sentiment is that the pitcher has the advantage facing "new" batters
that's why many rookies do relatively well in their first 6 starts or so

CC has struck out 36 in his last 31IP (4 starts)
I'm not betting against that with Mark mediocre

the price is a tease

Re: Tue. 7/8 MLB "SHARP CARD"

I did look at the slate as you did and thought about betting a bunch of dogs and hope for a profitable split

many of today's favorites have some warning signs

so far I have just the Reds at +145

Re: Tue. 7/8 MLB "SHARP CARD"

such as philly -200 or so having lost 3 straight
sure it's quite a starting pitching mismatch

but I believe betting -200 on teams that aren't winning is bad business

Re: Tue. 7/8 MLB "SHARP CARD"

detroit and verlander is another -200 with plenty of cause for concern
verlander's last 3 starts:
17IP 18H 12BB

that's awful
he's been very fortunate to have not been pounded with runs scored
