Will PINNY ever come back to the US Market?

I spoke to a guy who told me that he feels that not only will Pinny come back, but betfair will be here too at some point. Maybe Betfair can pay off the right people in order to get the US customers.

We can only hope that this happens in our lifetimes.

i hear you, we aren't getting any younger.

All of us will be 6 feet under while people will be walking our graves and laughing that "you mean there was a time in the USA when people didn't have betfair?"

We will all toss in that grave from the laughter 6 feet above us.

No, I dont think they will. Speaking of elections, Pinny is the only book that wont put a line out on it. I think they just dont want to mess with the US govt.

Something scared the crap out of them. Interesting comment about Betfair. Somehow, someway if trading exchanges - poker tournaments - were deemed to be games of skill - and would get treatment like horse racing - the whole mess of offshore banking could could be cleared up.

Regulation could occur and we would be in the midst of a legitmate gambling industry. In view of that American businessman should be allowed to compete on the internet???

Re: Will PINNY ever come back to the US Market?

I think that BetFair has a better chance. Guys at Pinny really don't want to test the waters until the laws change drastically.

Amazing how such industrial leaders i.e. NETeller & Pinnacle quickly became non-participants?

Can?t visualize any scenarios that would encourage Pinnacle or for that matter, NETeller to reinstate their services to Americans?

Perhaps even more puzzling is the seemingly unabated continuation of other gaming provider?s services to Americans?

Waiting for the other shoe to drop upon those defiant providers?an event which MUST occur (IMO) before viable regulation (the goal) can be implemented by U.S. lawmakers?something we should all hope never happens. 12io4j2w90

Matchbook is better at many of the things that Pinnacle used to put up. I was at a casino today, watching people losing money left and right. I sat there wondering what the pre-determined take was for the house, and got angry as I realized that this form of gambling, which has such a built-in advantage for the casino, is legal. No limit to how much these customers can flush down those slot machines, but sports betting, which I/you may have a decent chance of beating, is illegal. All because the casino is regulated, pays taxes and is government controlled. I call my bookie to play man-to-man and he could be jailed for accepting that bet. Makes you wonder.

That, to me, speaks volumes about their attitude going forward with regards to the US...

Hypocritical to say the least, as if the US Govt really cares about anything but itself.

Very true - guess it is all about tax revenues. That's the beauty of America - the economy depends on circulation of Joe the Plumbers money.

Pinnacle is history, The people that started it have made their money and are living their lives, Pinnacles limits and over reaction to bets are typical of how a much smaller book would react years ago. The best days of Pinny are long behind., Limits of 500 on totals deep into the week, 2000$ limits on Tuesadays and Wed in Cfb. etrc..Place a medium size bet nowadays and their money line goes nuts. Can't wait to see what CBB total limits will be this year 250 until; hour b4 game time? who knows? They have no reason to come back to USA market, USA govt will be blocking our access to gambling sites within the not too distant future anyway, Poker has a fighting chance, Sports is considered a degenerate pastime that gets no sympathy from the Govt

Unlike other books, Pinny made suckers out of their competitors rather than their clients.

That is WHY they've been iced from the American market. 12io4j2w90
