Cabrera is averaging almost a walk an inning. That is ridiculously horrible. How is this guy still in the league? He does this every year yet teams keep giving him contracts?

The unearned run stat is the stupidest stat in sports. So, one of your fielders makes a bad defensive play and then you walk 4 guys and give up a few hits and let them score 5 times, but because of that one bad defensive play none of your garbage afterwards counts against your ERA???? Weird.

But when one of your fielders robs a guy of a hit that helps you of course...

na its a great stat. you shouldnt have to get 4 outs. they are lenient with what they call errors already, you have to really fuck up to have an error called.

So, it can't hurt you if a guy makes a bad defensive play but you get rewarded when a guy makes a great defensive play after a guy hits a bullet off you... doesn't seem right.

just not the same. you get punished on infield singles, balls off of guys gloves that are not called errors, bloops, balls lost in the sun or lights...all kinds of bullshit. there are more weak hits than hits robbed.
