ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (AP) -- A record-setting night for one gambler in Atlantic City.
While playing craps at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa on Saturday night, Patricia Demauro of Denville set a new record for the longest craps roll by hanging on for four hours and 18 minutes. Borgata officials said that bested the previous mark of three hours and six minutes, set nearly 20 years ago at a Las Vegas casino.
Demauro bought into a game for $100 at about 8:13 p.m. and quickly amassed a large crowd of cheering supporters. When she eventually "sevened out'' around 12:31 a.m., after 154 rolls of the dice, she was greeted by Borgata with a champagne toast.
"This was only my second time playing craps, so this was very exciting for me to be a part of history," she said.
The casino would not disclose how much Demauro won during her stretch at the table.

Buying in for a $100 I doubt she was really pressing but I would imagine there were a few at the tables that really scored on this run - especially if it drew a crowd - fuck, after 30 minutes there must have been a crowd and then 4 more hours of no 7's

if a 154 rolls, i think they meant passes, then at $5.00 only per pass that would be$770.00. my guess as a newbie, she likely pocketed in the neighborhood of $3,500, you imagine what some of the players racked in, OMG...

I held the dice for 56 minutes a few years ago at The Cal in downtown
Vegas.I won about $1600.The stick guys told me afterwards.cause
The Cal. is in the Guinness book for the longest roll(3.5 hours I think)

They put your name on a cool plague over the bridge crossing Freemont St.Its called the golden arm club.Shit 4 f-in minutes.

That is one great roll & you won't see it again for a long, long time.

Re: Craps Player Sets Record at The Borgata

If it was her 2nd time, she probably didnt win much....Or should I say, she probably didnt win what she coulda won.

Now if there were a few seasoned crap players there...they probably slaughtered it.

Great to hear a story like this! Score 1 for the good guys!:cheers

Re: Craps Player Sets Record at The Borgata

4 hours plus? I can't even imagine what kind of money I would have made at a table like that.

$1000 initial bet into $500,000+ easily. I threw once for just under an hour. Have never been a prt of anything even close to that though - not even by half. Wow.

Re: Craps Player Sets Record at The Borgata

I've turned $500 into $25,000 many times on a 40 minute roll. Ran $1,000 into $75,000 on a 1 hour 10 minute roll. I was up there earlier in the week, if I had been at the table for that roll, I would have won between $1.5 and $2.2 Million depending on the number of hardways she hit and percentage of outside numbers (4 and 10)

the better question is how many people went BUSTO betting against her figuring the luck was about to end?

The whole table probably won some very significant cash! 91023i2ndw;l

Re: Craps Player Sets Record at The Borgata

On Shackleford's site, he says "the probability of a random thrower making 147 successful throws or more is about 1 in 1.2 billion."

He also says that 29.6% of the total rolls are comeout rolls, so this shooter made 45.58 points. If you're betting $5 with double odds and one point at a time (no come bets), that's a net win of about $920 (roughly).

Seems like it should be so much more money than that! :+clueless

The old record was set at the California Hotel downtown LV. I was actually sitting box on the game. Stanley Futaka rolled the dice 3 hours 6 minutes. Three girls bought in who had never played dice before, all three bought in 20 dollars, they eached cashed out over 20k. We ran out of chips in our bank...the GM had to stand there an buy chips back from players. It was wild if your ever downtown stop at the Cal theres a golden hand in a glass case in the Dice pit with the dice Stanley rolled.

I honestly would have said close to the same thing, but didnt want to deal with people calling BS. I totally agree though. If you are playing across the numbers and bumping a unit after each win, the result would be staggering. Starting with $1K would likely net a million easy if you were aggressive.

I am SURE this woman made a killing. First time or not, she made so much money for other people, they surely tipped her a ton. I would have.

I was with my Dad the first (and only) time he played craps. He rolled for 45 minutes. I was playing the numbers and made maybe $5,000 playing only semi-aggressively starting from about $500.

HE LOST $5.

Played $5 on come, and never hit his number. Unreal. Everyone at the table made a killing. He ended up getting tipped about $700. Made his trip.

I've seen thay plaqye several times and I think a sign outside. Didn't this player win over 100k or something like that? Curious what he tipped the dealers????
