In case you are unfamilar with what I do here:

Basically what I do here is pick a team to bet or fade for a pre-determined amount of games.. No flat betting, unit amounts may and most likely will vary.. Also "NOT" limited to betting MLs, I will sometimes wager on RL and -1's..

Re: Fading San Diego Padres between 5/26 to 6/14 thread.. (17 game stretch)

10 road games
3 games versus Phillies

Games versus division rivals are never EZ.

Padres are due to lose, dramatically overacheiving during the 10 game win streak.. They are hitting what, around .200 during it???

They will come back down to earth, and hopefully we can make some money on it when they do..

Really think you've found a good spot on this one, Gyno. San Diego has played way over their heads for two weeks and should not be able to sustain it. They lost 14 of 18 prior to the winning streak. GL.:cheers

Best of luck Friday and the rest of the fade. How good do you feel that you started on the 26th and the Road games started with a big SD comeback win on the 25th. That is like an extra free winner. ( I lost that one). LOL Good Luck.

Thanks, Gyno. I think the Hurdle firing could be a boost to the Rockies in the short term, which naturally will help the cause.:cheers

What a difference a season and a half makes huh? I remember when he was considered a genius for that 26 game winning streak that put them into the playoffs and eventually the world series.. WOW to get fired only a season and a half later..

I dont think it was his fault.

Heard a stat today in the car. Hurdle is the only manager in history to have a losing record in his first 5 years with the same team NOT to get fired. Billy Martin was fired 3-1/2 months into the season after winning the World Series.

I might have to get in on this. I live in San Diego. yet not a Padres fan, I know how bad they suck away from Petco. I think you got a winner here, Gyno.

Re: Fading San Diego Padres between 5/26 to 6/14 thread.. (17 game stretch)

I may do this. Gotta take em one day at a time though. Definitely looking to fade them for another week at least. Fits into a sort of angle of my own. Well one I read about anyway.

If a team wins five or more in a row wait until they lose two back to back and then for the next ten games look to play against when they are a favorite.

I have found this works better with the not so good teams or if its a good team thats a road favorite. Although I look at a lot of other stuff before pulling the trigger, this does signal a possible play or plays for me lots of the time. Just one of many that are out there.

Ever read a small baseball betting book by Mike Lee called "Betting the bases". Its an oldy but goody. First capping info I was introduced to a while back. Also gave me a lot of good basics to start out with. Best 10 bucks I ever spent.

If your interested, Google "Gamblers Bookstore" here in Vegas and you should be able to find it in thier catalogue. Lots of awesome stuff in there.

Bedtime for Bumpo. Check ya tomorrow.
