Contests, especially POSTUP, can never allow picks to be changed.

What if I make my picks on Wednesday but the line changes because of injuries in 3 games for instance, so you think that it is fair for me to be able to change picks later?


If ANYTHING, changing picks on the day of the games shouldnt be allowed. But if it is allowed, then I can promised that I will change a few later. I would have wanted to do it on 2 other occassions, but I know that it wouldnt be allowed.



If I were the grader of the contest, then I would only count the original picks. But maybe I do not know the rules. If I post my results for the week like I usually do, I will only count the original plays, but my results dont matter anyway

Sure i think u should be able to change or edit ur picks at any time in a contest as long as they are in before the game starts. There is only one reason that picks are not allowed to be changed and that is to make it easier on the score keeper and nothing else. why i hate these type of contest where i have to pick five games before a certain time when one might be at eight. Then again i ran a contest and i wanted it as easy to score as could be. Why I love SBR contests. Very high tech but im sure it cost a ton of money.

We had a real poor week as a group!

She hasnt updated the last 2 weeks yet. But I can GUARANTEE you that changing picks is not allowed. But either way, you lost both of those picks anyway I believe.

Now I may have made a slight error or 2 above, but I dont see any errors

I have played in over 75 postup contests in the past 7 years! I will be SHOCKED if changing picks is allowed. Likewise, had anyone posted after the deadline of 12:55 est, then I would have graded all of those picks as losers

The Samoas have a different taste (different baker....)

It has been the worst year for cookies I have EVER had.

Troops not getting all their money in (which means more paperwork for me...)

Parents not paying for cookies

Parents waiting until the very last minute to pay

Multiple trips to the bank to sort out messes

Running fuckin cookies back and forth just to get all we need.

I handed over a bag of checks and cash today to my head lady and said

"Here take it. I don't know if it is all right and I frankly don't care anymore. This is what I have, what the leaders gave me and what should be correct. If it's not wait a week at least to call me unless you want to hear me cuss at you."

The Cub Scouts of course sell popcorn. But it is so damn expensive. Most people are shocked that what they really want cost $16.00 I believe.


By the way, my kids keep getting Fundraisers for school. You know what I have begun to do????


I return the packet each time to them and just given them $30 and tell them that we didnt sell anything but the $30 will help out. I get tires of asking my parents and grandparents every month for a different fundraiser, so now I just give the cash.



Well I take that back, there is one fundraiser which is pretty good. It is the one where you can get magazine subscriptions for just $10 or $20. Those are actually great deals. We do spend about $80 every 6 months if the magazines are offered

My older troop has girls whose parents do this and frankly I love it.

Saves all of us effort....

$20 equals approximately 27 boxes of cookies.

Each box is .75 cents in profit for the troop.

This year our service unit sold around 15k boxes of cookies.

All of the council money had to be turned in through me for our unit.

That was around $47k I turned in tonight in checks and some cash....

Not to mention the $48k I had to take to the bank and deposit for cookie caravan back in Sept. (That was 7 counties cookie caravan sales...)

The bank ladies have started looking at what I am carrying when I come in to see how difficult the task I have is going to be. :LMAO

If I come in with a big bag they are suddenly really busy (I had two big tote bags with mostly cash in them when I went in Sept...thank God I live in a small town and the bank isn't ever really busy)
