Mammon has a point. I always wondered how people can be playing $10 plays offshore. They have to go on some kind of roll to compensate for the funding/withdrawl costs. I don't see how it is even possible to cover those costs and win at the $10 per play rate.

I bet about $25-$50 a game, sometimes more and the w/d fees do add up to some degree.. There are a few places that give you free payouts once a month..

Most books won't compensate for funding fees also unless you deposit $300, correct? That's a lot of fees.

I mean if you were to deposit say $300 by mneygram or westernunion, boks would pay for the fees. If it is under $300, then they don't. So, say a $10 bettor sends in $150, he is also out the what $20 for the fees to send. Then should they win, the book would charge to withdraw also. That's a lot t make up for if you are betting $10 a game.

All great bettors start out as 10 dollar bettors at some point in their lives. Who's to say that this current 10 dollar bettor isn't some guy who's great and its just a matter of time when he's betting FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS A GAME!

I have seen many 20-50 dollar players turn into 100 dollar players and up...

No, not at all. You see a guy playing $10 a hand in BJ or using $10 as a base wager at the crap table, not at all. Same guy goes to the book and bets $10 bucks, why is he a nitwit. The argument about the MG or WU is not a valid comparison based upon the question presented.

At the casino, we sometimes see a millionaire playing $10-$25 a hand blackjack and people ask why is he playing for peanuts compared to his net worth. But we see many more middle class people playing $300-500 or more a hand. If both are non-counters, the nit wit could be the $300-500 a hand guy, but to each his own.

No way you can classify anyone by how much they bet, in sportsbetting or anything else. I can tell you first hand of a poker room where the $1-2 is WAY tougher to beat than the $20-40 game. Believe me the fish/nits whatever were in the big game. Whales without a clue are often the worst, or the best if you are on the recieving end. Sometimes $10 bettors will be the sharpest guys on a sheet. Maybe they are just starting out, have little disposable income and so on but it's not the size of the wager that is all inclusive. BTW the absolute bread and butter for us in the old days was the $10-$50 dollar bettors. Most always lost and they never went bust, a books dream.
