I hve said this before, and I will say it again. If you do not have enough conficence in your picks, and feelthe need to "buy" a 1/2 point, DO NOT play the game. First,m you are getting ripped off. Second, you should not be playing games that may be ecided by a 1/2 point either way. You should have a lot more confidence that that.

I would personally rather waste the extra juice than to lose by half a point. If you have 2.5 and lose by 3 then you wasted a loss, when you could have got your money back. A lot of times it doesnt matter in the end, but I've been beat by half a point too many times. I like both home teams, I think LSU will smash, but VT is notorious for those close ones, just trying to be safe. Boise might smash again who knows, last year plenty of people online thought Oregon was going to cover on the road at Boise to open the season, but they got destroyed. Maybe this year its Boise's turn.

It's your money. You will end up in the red with your hook buys. You will lose much more money in the long run than the hook saves you. Your choice, but that is a proven fact. LSU is going to win easily, so that was an unnecessary risk. Va Tech did not have one game last season where the hook would have made a difference. Toledo +17? Do you really think that 1/2 a point is going to make a difference in a game where 60 points may be scored? It's your money. You will learn, just like all the others do. The hook porbably will not make any difference in the outcome of your games. The ones you lose will run to an extra 10%. I think that is way too high a price to pay. Bottom Line. My suggestion is to track your plays that you buy a hook, and see if it pays off at the end of the season. The best way to determine success or failure is to track these plays so at the end of the season, you have the results right in front of you. Where did you get ECAR +8.5? The line is 7 across the board, both in Vegas and off shore. I would like toknow which book is going way out on a limb here. It is important to note these books. Also, you might want to check your record. By your own post, it looks like 5-4, not 5-3. You had two losses on Toledo. Maybe that is where the confusion lies.

yea on september 5th the line was 7 or 7.5 across the board. but seeing as how i posted the pick 6 days ago, you might want to go back and check what the line was on 8/31 when i played it before you start being a wise ass thinking im a cheat. and why would i count toledo as 2 losses, when its just one 2 unit loss? i added an extra unit to it at +17 why would i count that as 2 seperate losses? maybe i should count the northwestern/vandy over as 2 wins then?

Buying the 1/2 point on or off the key Numbers (3) and (7) should be automatic....especially the (3)
Most sportsbooks won't even let you buy on or off the 3 for obvious reasons
so if you can do it for a fair price it should be automatic

I was counting on their defense shutting down asu on the road, while the running game grinds out the cover. The line movement does scare me now, but I've been waiting for this one for weeks. The line move has to be in part because of the receiver situation but I would advise you lay off it now.
