They just found him dead in Louisiana in a swimming pool 45 minutes ago, I have no idea what the cause of death is at this time.

Damn...Shep was a good friend when I lived in Vegas...very sad news...

Shep was the main phone guy at the Mirage for Jimmy V.

Shep also enjoyed the horses...RIP Shep

Very sad news. I didn't know Shep, but Jimmy V. would tell some great stories about him. If there were a Hall of Fame for phone ticket writers, he would be a charter member.

If anybody knows Lil Johnny that bets the HOUSE Q'S in Vegas, I would really appreaciate if you could tell him about Shep death, Lil Johnny and Shep were real good friends, I can still remember when Shep first left Louisiana to go to work in Vegas at the Mirage, he started out being a curtain guy for the shows at the Mirage and than he worked his way in at the Sportsbook job which he had for several years, he than was moving games for different originators while he was clerking at the Mirage, I will not mention the people he was moving money for, but I will say this he was well known in Vegas...

I used to see Shepp around town a lot during football season (i'm surprised to hear he was in Louisiana this time of year). Very sorry to hear about his passing. I didn't know him that well, but he always seemed like a pretty good guy. His accent used to crack me up, too.
