BetPhoenix stopped with them a while back too and I remember panicking slightly and transferring a few nickels to Bookmaker. I just can't see Pinnacle letting MB go under. Even if they're a C book, Matchbook is just too valuable to not play at.

known for a year or so that most volume at mb is not player to player real funds..its funny money offers and that is dangerous for an exchange as they might not be too solvent..Its awesome for the players as its easy to pick off soft slow changing lines there which is why irishtim, fish, and dozens others love mb (as do I) but that is all money being won that has no other side....plus huge plays on credit not post up...so Greek knows this, shocked it took this long.

It would be nice if Greek would make a statement, in whatever veiled terms, as to why he's made this decision. Viejo you know people who know people, is this something you could get the scoop on?
I tend to err on the side of caution and see the worst in this too, but there can be innocent reasons having to do with processing fees or one way flow that a book might make this decision.

I am guessing it could be because the transfers go out instead of in 95% of the time. I remember when Greek and Cris were crybabying how Pinnacle was getting all the action and they stopped doing book to book transfers with Pinnacle.
I have an idea for those books? Get sharper lines and less vig. Hire competent people.

CRIS has had retards run their book for years and has no idea how much more money they could be making if they just hired someone who actually knows something about sports betting.
Hasn't every CRIS book manager in the last 15 years lost big time betting. Why would you want someone to run your book when they have no idea how to bet sports.

I haven't been able to play at Matchbook anyway ever since the I went all-in with Kansas -4 +125 vs. Kansas State live-betting last winter when a stale line was left up after Morningstar hit his second free throw to go up 5 with just a couple seconds left...and of course KState drilled the half-court meaningless prayer at the buzzer... 2348ji23e

he most likely means that some abuse the transfer policy
but some don't and that is who it hurts if that is the real reason for stopping transfers.
it doesn't make sense for that to be the reason as the greek gets you a check in 1 day.
both books have rollovers on incoming transfers so that has put some halt to using books as processors.

I think this problem is similar to Punters getting thrown out. I know plenty of bettors who have had their accounts closed and its nearly always a case of depositing and withdrawing on a ridiculous level, transfering between books is no different. As for Matchbook I would think their position is the same as Betfair in that they are a conduit for Books to trade their positions and for the less well known and under used books to gamble on line movement. Betfair charge up to 20% of profits on their clients doing this, I can only think Matchbook is doing the same. :cheers
