Can't say I do.
I like when the big money (the syndicate money) loses, however. Makes life easier when competing against the sports books (fewer rules, fewer restrictions, better attitudes, etc.).

u guys who like to see people lose obviously have some major issues. judging by the people who are saying they do i stand to be right. one square loser(weinke), one drama queen(dimetoupee) and one fat ugly pill popper(tuckman).

Even if I am on the other side of posters and cappers I respect here or anywhere else, I don't root for anyone to lose. While I know it's likely they are going to run the table, I hope they come out every night with a winning percentage since we are all here to serve the same purpose.

Haha precisely. It's the great misconception that it's the "players vs. the books" when it it really the players against other players. The more dead money in the market, there more money there is for intelligent players to extract. It is my hope that the forums can funnel as much dead money as possible into the market.
Of course there are a few guys who I like or share info with and enjoy seeing them do well, but it's the guy who lays -3.5 on Sunday morning when -2.5 (-115) was available all week that is paying you, not the sportsbook. I root for these guys to keep betting and with more money. The only individuals I personally root for to lose though are the ones who make it seem like winning money betting sports is "easy". I also get a kick out of the ones who have a meltdown when one of their "locks" goes up in flames.
My personal favorites are the ones who do those Martingale systems. Clowns just asking to zero their accounts. :finger004

Docsports sent me a free weekend pass for 2 cappers 2 weekends in a row. I chose Ace and Doc Sports. Both were horrible.. and lost units. Never ever sent Doc sports any money and never will after that free showing. I expect another freebie next weekend until they get a winning weekend down,lol.

I never will just root foe someone to lose, however if someone posts lock after lock and keeps losing I may fade and root for my play, if i don't play I might go back and laugh if their record goes to 4 -16 but that is all. I like seeing people win.

I don't root against Posters - I root against Plays
When someone makes a JACKASS play - I root against them and hope they lose their JACKASS play so they will learn their lesson and not make another JACKASS play in the future
A few days ago when someone posted how he looooooooooooved Phillies -190 vs the Mess, I rooted against him and was ECSTATIC he lost because he made a JACKASS play. Laying -190 over the long run will KEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL YOU - and I wanted the play to lose so this poster (who I THOUGHT was too smart to make this play) would realize he made a stupid play and not do it again
I root against people who lay -3.5 in the NFL when earlier in the week the line was -3 or less - I root for the game to land 3 so they lose by the hook because they were stupid
I root against people who post 10-team parlays in which they put up $10 to win 10-zillion dollars and then say they did it "FOR FUN" when there is NO SUCH THING as a bet made FOR FUN............because if you make enough of these "For Fun" bets all the money you lose stops being "Funny" when all you do is lose

I don't root for people to lose, but the above post is a good example of why I find it funny when Winky loses. Also after everyone verbally jacked off Rainbow before the big contest watching his meltdown was pretty funny.

To me, it is simple. If they wager on a team that I have played against, I hope they lose. If they wagered on a team that I took, I hope they win. If I do not have action on the game or event, I really could care less what they do, though I have to admit that I do enjoy seeing the boasters and big mouths in here going down. If I like the person, I feel sorry for them. Anyone who says that they will not hope that a person who went against them in a wager loses is simply not telling the truth.

I used to post my plays on the forums, but when I made a 2 team teaser in college football and the very 1st post in my thread was hoping that I lose my grand, I had bet, I decided right then and there that I would never post another play ever...It ended up I needed the tease to win my bet (one side didn't cover the full point spread but won the tease, so I felt very good about the bet)
But to hope folks lose, in my opinion, is just a lot of insecurity or jealousy on one's part...the whole game is trying to make a little here and there..
