I kept trying to make early NFL post cause I always make my plays on Tuesday. I kept getting told it was dumb to make bets early int he week.

All the while guys were talking about beating the closing line. How the hell you going to be it if you wait till Saturday night to bet?

I like these types of threads so going to respond even if it's just me and Gyno talking to ourselves.

Few that popped out at me:

That is a LOT of chalk for an Atlanta team that hasn't been playing up to their level and a Jaguar team that seems to be able to put it together every once in a while. Being an Atlanta fan I can't pull the trigger but I like the Jags to cover here.

Minny is getting AP back and Webb looked great Sunday. Most likely Minny will be in a teaser for me.

Oak is a fave against Detroit and Oak hasn't been playing well that tells you how bad things have deteriorated in Detroit.

I'll be on Den across the board. (ML, Spread Tease) as well as the under. I've been looking forward to this game for weeks. I like how Den matches up with NE, and this is the SB in Denver.

I will probably be on Pitt MNF as well as we finally get a good game. Though when they made the schedule they didn't know this would be a good game.

lines are important but aren't picking winners more important??

sure, in the long run it can catch up to ya, but if you're comfortable with your selections early in the week and it works for ya, so be it

Vast majority of the time when Kinger makes his thread every Sunday about what everyone is on there is at least 1 game I got a better number then closing. If you go back and look through those I have one loseing weekend since start of NFL.

So if you can do both your really doing well!

I think the UDs get a better number on Sunday and reverse for favorites.

Houston cost me money when they played Falcons and I made up for it by taking them big Sunday against Cincy I am on the Texans bandwagon for sure. I wish Tenn would start locker though instead of Hassleback. We've seen what Matt can do and it isn't much. I want to see what Locker can do.

The line isn't available at most shops, but I see one place has Buffalo pick'em versus Miami. Now, I know Buffalo hasn't exactly been playing well lately, but they're 4-2 at home. Miami had been playing well up until Sunday's fiasco against the Eagles. Now that Tony Sparano is gone, I don't see the team coming out with the same intensity they were playing with the last month and a half. Sure, these guys are professional athletes, but most of them professed their desire for owner Stephen Ross to keep Sparano. The fact he fired him mid-season doesn't sit well with most of the team.

It's also a revenge game for Buffalo and it appears Matt Moore may not play (which is why most shops don't have a line up for the game). With the way Miami's offensive line is giving up the most sacks per game, even if Moore plays his effectiveness will be limited. Also remember that it's mid-December in Buffalo. Dolphins teams historically tend to play awful at Orchard Park this time of year. I'd take Buffalo up to -2' even if Moore does play.

Yeah I was looking at this game as well. I want to take Mia but with Moore out and the coaching up heavel I just can't.

Get on the Browns +7 before its gone... Seneca Wallace is an upgrade from McCoy and the Cards are banged up. This has close game written all over it. Also should be a low scoring game which only helps when it will take two possessions to beat you.

I looked at the game and I see no reason to beat each other up. Consider under 38 also.

Even though Hasselbeck pretty much carried Tennessee through most of the season his play has dropped considerably over the last few weeks.I'm also thinking now would be a good time for Locker to start because its clear Matt is fading as the season winds down.I'm also thinking this will be the first clear cut game where Indy tries to avoid the 0-16 mark since they've pretty much clinched the Luck thing so now they will try with all might to get at least a victory.Don't be surprised if this one is very close.
