Easiest free dime ever. Or in WVU's case, easiest 47 dimes ever.

Actually, to be fair, I got 6 or 7 people in on it as well for a cut so I shouldn't talk.

:LMAO

I think I had 22 accounts in it. I then parlayed those winnings in the casino with another bonus playing bingo (with the multiplyer)for another 7-800 in winnings in each account. It was a pretty decent haul. They changed a bunch of rules on the casino bonus midstream, but I was ahead of the gauntlet.

Wow, I can't top that one but I do have a story. I did the thing you are talking about - told a friend - who dawdled on it and they stopped the promotion before he got in as they had enough responses.

But, they had a Poker promotion for a penny each day. One winner who earned the right to be flown to Las Vegas and be on TV on Sunday night against 5 other contestants to play for a winner take all 25K. Then there was a middle round for 50k I think and then the big she bang. It took me like 7 hours to beat the other 500 players.

They had the tv studio at the Tropicana and then they built a studio downtown. The audience could see the players but the players could not see or hear the audience. They gave each player 20 green chips - a nice dinner with the other players and the host (Barry Tompkins) and a couple nights at Caesar's Palace.

I didn't win although I was in the lead for awhile as I got too aggressive with a pair on the board where I had two pair and filled an open ended straight on the river. The problem was the card also hit the pair another player had down and he ended up with a full house.

But, it was a really good time. BTW, if you stay at Caesar's Palace and you eat the peanuts - snacks - the wine they put in the room - you get charged extra on your bill after they inventory it - LOL

I was never a joey porter fan until that game. He had a huge late game int that sealed the deal. Best, yet dumbest promo ever.

The exchange part of it was much better than the regular nickel juice deal.

both were golden but yes exchange even better..they seeded it with big $$ and were slow to move totals especially..

I just want to say that I hate all of you for making so much money back in the day. It was all before my time.

Wow, forgot about Mansion...they had great poker promos and freerolls for the short time they allowed U.S. players. And I loved that GamesGrid software as well.

:btj:

Good Times, Indeed. Didn't they fold to the US shortly thereafter?

They folded to the US right after the UIGEA, which I believe was about 6 weeks after the promo, yes. They had a few similar promotions involving EPL games, but those were only 50 pounds (about $90-$100 at the exchange rate at the time) while the Steelers one was $1000.

Their owner must have had very deep pockets because they were obviously seeding their exchange with some rather ridiculous lines. It was pretty common to find scalps in baseball, and to a lesser extent hockey, that were 5 or 6 cents scalpable with Pinnacle, and sometimes the limits were as high as $100k.
